I have the hog tunes amps and speakers would the focals be better than the hog tunes speakers? this is in a 2012 road glide ultra, I have lower fairing speakers, the extra tweeters beside the guage pod, rear speakers and vented to the tour pack and the fairing speakers + 2 hog tunes 140w amps and the Hk 160w amp.

dude,,,,  can't even compare.     We're talking high end,,  when you are talking arc audio and focal.    That's not hog tunes at all.

I've ran the stage 4 from Soundz in my 2013 cvo rg now for 18 months, Focal 165 krc in front, HAT's in the bags running off a 4CH Arc in the fairing. Sound is superior to most systems out there, I'm talking high end not boom or hogtunes etc. Crystal clear at 4 or 5 bars at 75 mph. He makes his own harnesses that are heavier duty than the stock ones and everything is plug and play with factory controls. No issues with riding in the rain. I picked up a tip years ago to protect expensive after market speaker during bike wash. Get a 4" roll of blue masking tape and cover the speaker grills so water doesn't get into the speaker enclosure ( a little moisture doesn't hurt but you don't want a hose spraying into them). I use a leaf blower to dry off my bikes and take off the tape before I blow the water off the bike.

first, Ive been dealing with Pete for 2 years. hes one of the most honest guys youll ever meet and he never oversells you.  usually its the contrary.  id guess he does at least 500 installs a year. he has great experience.  i have 10 Focals on my bike and never had a leak.  i do not ride in the rain, but i do wash with a hose often.

I totally agree   Pete is also the number 1 Focal dealer anywhere.  I would have gone with Focals in the bags if they wouldn't leak.  And any coaxial that isn't bridge mounted will.   How can it not?   At 75 - 80 miles per hour,, do you really think you will notice that one is slightly better than another?  I went with hybrid audio in the bags,,  it rains a lot in Florida.  And I will ride in the rain,,,  I put my foot down,,, I went the "no leak" option.    But I do and still think the world of Pete.     Just sayin,,,,,,,,   Stuart.

I am looking into geeting Pete from Soundz Customz to upgrade the sound system on my 2013 SERK. He uses Focal speakers and Arc Amps. If anyone on here is listeneing and had these systems installed I was wondering how they hold up to getting wet from being ridden in the rain or washing the bike? Also the SERK has saddlebag speakers so I was wondering about leaks into the bags after messing with the bag speakers? Thanks in advance for any and all input.

I Had same system done on '11 SERGU. Cones on Focal are not paper, they are kevlar. Pete has bikes sitting out in rain at all shows and never had an issue with a speaker from water. Upgrade beats stock for sure, the only thing I am disappointed with is IPOD modula off of HK head unit only puts out 2 AMPS so you need to crack the volume to get a good sound and this causes distortion at times. Pete will put a CD in when you pick up the bike as he knows the issue. Not his fault but I wished he would have mentioned it as I might have had him swap out the HK head unit for a Sony he sells and installs.

I had the pleasure of meeting Pete today. He stopped by my house on his way back home from the Lone Star Rally in Galveston, Tx. I had him install the Stage 4 on my CVO RK.
As many have stated the set-up really rocks and is super clean sounding. I would highly recommend to consider Pete if you are looking to upgrade your audio.

I wound up getting the Stage 4 system installed while at the Lonestar Rally.  Because the amp is in the saddlebag on the Road King it is a Focal amp instead of the larger Arc amp but man it sure does sound great!!!
