no sense in starting a new thread on this, but just to let others know who have this issue a probable solution

i also had this issue on my sse2, grossly inaccurate leds, and range ON A FULL TANK was 84 miles!!! HD said bring it in, but local NON HD tech told me

"just pull the battery connection and go thru 2 tanks", and viola!! into my 3rd, and rectified by th 4th tank my guage LED and range was reading close to accurate again
