Hey all, so the cost of the frame with title was $3,700.00   And found a set of used trees for $200,00. So up to $11,000 so far. The budget is between $20 and $25 K.  Still need front forks, front rim, tire and rotors ( or aftermarket rims and rotors  ?).  A few body panels, gas tank and paint. The rest is all labour.

Frame is at the powder coaters as we speak, should have it back by the end of the week.  Lots of picks coming..Cheers.

Hey Cvo2fixup,
Thanks for the update. I look forward to your final product...your final destination.  But as we all know it is the journey that is the interesting portion of your build.  Please keep the progress pictures coming along with costs, manhours and your personal thoughts.  Thanks again for bringing us all along on your adventure.

Ok, frame back from powder coating. Supper nice job, nice and smooth in all the right places. Cost was $350.  So up to $11,350 so far.  Now waiting for the paint to be finished. Then the re assembly begins. The painter we use is very good ( best around ) but he is slow as molasis in January.  It really is a love and hate with this guy. But we have no choice up here. So few good motorcycle painters. Will just have to wait.  :(

Enjoying the pictures and progress. Thanks for posting.
Looking at the frame neck, will this be a large diameter front wheel?
Wiring one of these must be time consuming.

This is really getting interesting and thanks for letting us in on the build.  I enjoy watching things like this progress....sorta like taking something apart when you were a kid to see how it works and then putting it all back together.  In this case, it was "taken apart" by less than happy means and bought ready for the re-build.
Looking forward to the day it's started and riden for the first time, reborn....as I'm sure you are, too.

Some movement happened today.  The bent chassis made it to the shoppe and got acquainted with the new frame. The build will start in ernest now.  The long wait will be for the paint to come back. You will hear me grumble periodically about the painter taking his sweet ass time.  The new trees and forks got mounted temporarily so the bike can be transported.  Man is this thing bent!!!
