Had 2 back surgeries, Can ride unlimited with a backrest, bout a hundred miles without. Wife who rides almost all the time on the back has no say in backrest deal. We use one, all the time. I asked her after seeing this post, she can not understand how it would be a problem for the bsr as it does not affect her riding area.
