I'm getting the garage warmed up as we speak to heat the oil up in my ole '76 FLH Shovelhead.  That straight 60w cranks VERY slowly on a cold bike.

It's supposed to be 61 here today and partly sunny, so I'm taking the wife out on the FLH and blowing the dust off it, so to speak.

My wife and I are heading up to Des Moines this coming Saturday and will spend a few days there with my son and his family.  Then it's off to Clare MI for the rest of the holidays with my brother and his family.  I'm from the Farwell/Clare area, mom born and raised in Clare and dad came from Farwell about 5 miles away.  I miss that area and if I can convince my wife, I would like to move back there when I retire in 5 more years.

So anyway, Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to you all.....

Great day to ride here, wish I could have made it out today as well.

Well my wife and I rode for a couple hours and stopped in Defiance for a soda and then off to New Melle to the Fireside Grill for a late lunch.

I hovered around 60 degrees and was a very pleasant ride, even on the old Shovelhead.  I'll have to say it's not the best riding bike I've ever owned.  Although a good quality set of rear shocks and some new fork bushings and tubes would make it ride a LOT better.
