Heated Grips with wiring through handle bar
« on: December 18, 2014, 08:27:13 AM »

I am looking for heated grips for my CVO deluxe. I would prefer all wiring through the handle bar. The HD grips have the power supply cable outside but I have never seen on a CVO a cable outside the handle bar. :nixweiss:

Some ideas or suggestions from other suppliers e.g heatdemon.

Thanks  :pepper: Torsten  :pepper:

Only one way to go .....   Heat Demons.   http://www.heatdemon.com/catalog/motorcycle/heated-motorcycle-grips

Have used Heat Demons on many of my bikes.  They ALWAYS work and they do get Hot !   As an added bonus, you can use any type of grip on your bike with Heat Demons installed.  Heat Demons install inside the handlebar.

My 13 CVO King did not come with heated grips.  Ordered the same heated grips that came stock on the 13 CVO Ultra.  Instructions said they had to be wired out side the bar.  Dealer installed them, running wires in the bars just like on the CVO Ultra.  Made it more difficult for dealer for using Yaffe Monkey Bars.

Just like Dave said earlier. You can install the HD heated grips on your bike with the wiring inside the bars. If it can be done with Yaffe Monkey bars ( I have them on my 2015 CVO FLHX too) it is MUCH easier with all other bars without the sharp corner to pull the wires through.

Ok when I understand you correct I can do both. Heat demon and HD grips but the advantage of Heat Demon is that I can use my current grips and I do not have the trouble with the HD failure. I think I will go with the Heat Demon, I hope they are hot enough for North Europe. Will be in March at Daytona Bike week and I hope to get the grips there.

Thanks Torsten
