This can't be a surprise to anyone?  Craftsmanship is NOT American. No surprise with just over a 200 year history.

We are catching up copying Japanese manufacturing. (GM, Ford and Chrysler all copy the Toyota Production system).

We are the "Chinese" to the Europeans.

Although Ford is catching up.

yeah agreed!! maybe management and managers will wake up someday.  squeezing the last bit of profits by cheapening or making inferior products for the sake of just a little more profit may not be the answer. just a random thought I guess.

New engine installed and car to be ready tomorrow. detailed first and change to Mobil 1. They low balled me on the trade value and have taken NO ownership in the problem. I almost lost it there last week and the wife got me out in time. I have contacted GM customer service and the dealer did not like that. Decided against much dread to drive it but I believe unless corporate can resolve to my liking. neither myself nor my 6 kids will by GM again. Went in today to talk to service mgr and he's doing damage control. GM has requested the ECU codes and programs to see what went wrong. I will wait to see what they say when they see what the brains say about an untuned or modified car. Not sure what the ECU will say and curious if anyone hear knows what they look for but I will continue to smear-nicely and go the corporate route. But back was a joke and not worth my while for now, need better. thanks for all the input.
