I removed the port on the dash of the 2015 FLHXSE. Installed a rubber bushing from a insulated metal conduit connector. Pushed the microphone through and left all the wiring inside the fairing.

Works Great!

What port did you have there?  I don't have anything or did you drill a hole?

Also, with this setup, you don't have to change the settings in setup to use the headset right?

I believe on the FLHXSE there is a power port there.

That’s is correct it is just plug and play!

Interesting on the power port as I have not seen one there on the SG but can't say that I remember looking at a CVO SG either.

Thanks confirmation on the settings

I don’t own a FLHXSE but it could also be the port for the mic\headset connector. Either way that is what he removed, Good idea!

On the FLHXSE that is the stock port for the included headset. It's not there on the SGS. It just seems like an after thought from Harley to me. Now that I have moved it I am glad I didn't have a port in the dash panel. I didn't like the wire from my helmet to the bike.

Its very handy to have the voice control features while moving down the road.
