The first time I heard of this, the fix was to thread something, (18x1.5 bolt) into the bung and change the angle of the bung so it doesn't hit the starter.

I have never seen it firsthand, just passing along what I've heard.

Good luck,

Chief

Thanks Chief - sounds simple enough as long as it doesn't crack.  Best to heat it I guess.

Anyone actually seen it done?   :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: :nervous:

I'll put some pics up later of my dirty SERG with my new mods. It better get warmer so I can use my hose and wash that thing! I'll try to get some close ups of the bungs too. Look for the pics in the Pictures Section under "Some New Mods". ;) Hoist! 8)

The Jiffy Stand extension was necessary and I'm happy with this.
Yes, I'm guessing that I'm shorter than you, so if I didn't have it, I couldn't go anywhere on my bike, as I wouldn't be able to put the stand up or down!  :)

I am actually a little leary to ride alone because of this.  I do carry a string I can loop over the kick stand if I have to, but my husband says I have the only kick stand extention that bitches.  Cause sometimes........ the cambre not just right, I need a little kick ........ for the stand that is.   ;D

People joke with me about having a string, but I haven't needed it yet - I can just about reach the stand with a struggle on every bike until this one, but the 07 stand is harder to reach!   I know just what you mean about the camber though!  ;)

The amount of extras that you can put on the worlds top of the line bike amazes me.They could at least install the danmn speaker rings and such at the factory.By the way mon ami your bike looks better and better each day.I like the saddlebag guards not only they look cool but to me they are a must have for ultras i connot imagine an ultra without them.Enjoy :drink:

I just put on the V&H Duals. The rear O2 bung might be awful tight with the AutoTune O2 Sensor. Something to keep an eye on. ;) Hoist! 8)

Hoist how are you? I also have the dresser duels installed. The rear bung is actually touching the vent tube that I believe comes up just in front of the trans. Do you have the same problem?
