117" dyno test! 138 HP and 140 TQ!
« on: August 18, 2016, 07:32:55 PM »

Here's a dyno chart worth taking a second look at!

This chart was sent to me from Dave McKale. His Fullsac equipped 117" makes a 138 HP and 140 TQ!
This is the real deal making a 120 FT pounds as early as 2750 RPM!

Parts and suppliers
Fullsac DX Pipe and 2.25 CVO Baffles
Don Dorfman Heads, 11.4 comp
HPI 55 TBI
Woods 9B Cams

Props to J&B Performance Cycles for tuning this Monster.
Special Thanks to Dave McKale for riding with a Fullsac!

That's the best numbers I've ever seen on a 117"!  Surely, you forgot to post upgrades to the bottom-end.  Later--HUBBARD

Same build but different air cleaner and exhaust. Heavy breather with Jackpot 2-1-2 and 4" Rinehart mufflers.

This should show people who say an air cleaner does not help or improve power.  According to the tuner the vast majority of the difference in numbers is the heavy breather on Joe's bike over the Agitator on my bike.  The agitator flow more than the ventilator but not enough to beat the heavy breather.

Steve, I'm sure you will be working on head pipe for the new 107/114 8 valve motors asap correct?  TTS going to be available for them shortly after they are out?

There is a reason I run the Heavy Breather on all of my Bikes.

Picking up a 2017 Laguna Orange 107 Road Glide next Friday.   :2vrolijk_21:
Will be building a new exhaust ASAP and tuning with TTS as usual.

I would say the TQ numbers look great but the HP takes a while. Looks like my blower graph

Just out of curiosity what would the ballpark price be for a setup like this? With someone besides me doing the work?

It cost me 5500 or so for the engine parts, head work, clutch, intake, exhaust, tuner and dyno. If you have to pay someone to do the disassembly and assembly probably add 500 to 1000.

It is a blast, and very easy to ride.  It has instant power coming out of curves.

I could have had this and wasted my money on an S&S 124 clanging and piston slapping noise maker.  My old 110 was quite as a mouse compared to this motor.

Those are incredible numbers on a 117.  Wow!

I don't have any of that!  'Course mine is a built Motor, as opposed to Crate.  I would disagree with a 124 being a waste of money, compared to this particular 117.  If the builder didn't up-grade the bottom-end in that particular 117, I'd rather have your 124, and mine, any day.  But that's just my opinion.  Later--HUBBARD

You would quickly change your mind if you heard this motor.  Mechanical noise emanating from it is deafening to say the least.  As the owner of several 110 over the years I know what noise is and this sounds like its about to let go. :nervous:

Probably just got a bad one and if she is going to blow I hope it blows before the warranty runs out.

Good job with your pipe and baffle Steve. Think I saw this over on HTT and was mighty impressed. Still haven't mounted your pipe and TTS. Last 2 vacations just evaporated and no time to play. Did get to ride my new to me 2015 Road Glide Special but 4 days a year is never enough.
