Spyder, Your wiser than your years my man. While on the job today, I found one. Damn! That is one very nice scooter. Not too loud and flash, subdued and sweet. I took a bunch of pics with my just issued to me BlackBerry. Now I can get them to download as it a company phone and not completely set up, I guess. Giving me a BlackBeery is like watch a monkey make love (can use that other word) to a football.

Now the real dilemma:
1. buy her and sell Lexi
2. buy her and keep my SERKS
3. buy an 04 B/B and keep my SERKs
4. keep my money and be satisfied with what I got

I believe I mentioned before, you have a lot of hate in ya and need professional help.  >:(  :)  ;D Gary, Thanks for the kick you know where delivered as only you can deliver it!!  :drink:

All good options JW, I don't see how you can lose on any of those choices.  ;) har.  spyder

My main reluctance with buying a new scooter is reliability based on my own experiences. However, I have several friends with 09's, no issues to date.

Of course money is an issue but this would not kill me to buy her. Then there's having three touring bikes.

See Jeff, that's what I was thinking!  We'll just assist with any indecision you may experience...   :)

Well, since your just looking out for my best interest...how could I have been so shallow.

Yeah, that is just dumb.  Two and a half or 2.65 or whatever it is makes much more sense.

The only thing better than 3 touring bikes would be having 4 touring bikes.

LOL! I thought of you as I wrote that. I notice you have not gotten into the newer platform or TBW system or etc. Hmmmm. Perhaps you are on the right path.

LOL! Man sometimes it's good to not be married. I get to do what I can justify to myself.

Thanks

There's the coated Fatcat on the shelf on the left.
The stock 01 Sharkfin set hanging from the ceiling above the 03.
The stock 09 SEUC system above the 09.
And the Fatcat ghost pipe hanging above the 05 finishes the decor.

Hanging all those pipes was exhausting!

Nope.  And no great temptation either.  Some of the new rides look nice.  But not any nicer than what we've got.  Some new systems offer capability that would be interesting.  But few that can't be retrofit if you really want to (ABS being the exception).  All that being said I've become so disappointed in the MoCo the last few years that they aren't getting money out of me for new bikes anymore.

The dealerships too often are an embarrassment to themselves and the company they represent (if they had the standards requisite to be embarrassed).  The company has such QC issues that the literally put riders at risk and don't seem to give a damn.  So I'm one of the "Harley generation," men of a certain age that should still be sucking the HD teat, that don't.  At least no more than necessary.

I patronize the quality side of the aftermarket for parts as much as I'm able.  Do my own maintenance as much as I'm able.  And give as few dollars as possible to HD itself or their representative dealerships.  I love my bikes.  The company is as much fun as the heat rash you get riding in the hot sweaty south in the summer time.

I agree...it's a shame that after you get the bike you want as little as possible to do with the dealer and the MoCO as far as parts and service is concerned. Parts--sometimes when you have to, but service---as little as humanly possible. Besides..apart from anything obvious all the little problems and noises are considered "normal" as far as they are concerned.
