Started with my Zumo 550 cradle and power and audio cables.  Ordered the following MoCo parts,

1106            Screw
1107            Screw
7686            Locknuts (2)
92346-10        Mount  (accepts garmin cradle)
92466-10        Retainer  (goes inside fairing for support)
57885-10        Pad  (dashpad specific to cradle mount, already has holes)

Totaled $140 plus change.  

Started by removing the outer fairing and then the dashpad.

Note the large hole used for the dashpad fastener.  The XM antenna bracket had to be temporarily moved out of the way.

Swapped the chrome trim piece to the new dashpad.

Fitted the retainer and held it in place with a little tape.  I already loosely installed the new dashpad and taped the garmin mount in place to help target the pieces for drilling.

Ready to bite the bullet and drill the first of two 1/4" holes thru the fairing.

First hole drilled using retainer as the guide and upper bolt installed to loosely hold things in place.

Used the retainer as a guide and drilled the bottom 1/4" hole and installed the bottom bolt to hold things and check the fit.

Next I removed the mount and dashpad to target drilling the 5/8" hole for the wires.  I drilled the hole and routed the power and audio cables thru the hole that I lined with some rubber.

Routed the wires thru the dashpad and installed the dashpad.

Routed the wires thru the Garmin mount and fastened the mount to the fairing.
