New C&C Seat
« on: August 20, 2012, 05:58:23 PM »

Finally got my new C&C Seat for my '12 SESG. I purchased the Solo seat with rider backreat. I had them do the stitching work in the Brique, which is a darker orange. It worked out perfect for the bike... I've had C&C Seats on my other bikes and loved them. I also tried the Danny Gray Airhawk seat. It's a comfortable seat but I feel it sits you to high up.

Seat looks great.  I'd like to see the backrest in also.   :2vrolijk_21:

Here's some additional pics as requested with the backrest installed. The backrest also has the matching stitching added to it. The one pic shows how good the nose of the seat, meets the tank. Also could use help figuring out how to post multiple pics in one posting??

Multiple pictures in a post are embedded (hosted somewhere on the internet and using the image tag to link to them) and not attachments. You can only attach one picture at a time.

Nice seat.  I got a similiar one.  Used gray stitching to match the bike and Ostrich for the portion you put your ass on.  Came out nice.  Haven't gotten many miles on it but I feel like I'm sitting higher and more forward on the bike now....

Very cool. I am in California with major health fixing to do but my husband and I made the short drive to see Dave and Chuck. Dave got my husband all set up for his street bob and Chuck set me up with the forward solo seat with and inch more forward and it will have stitching in red to match the rear fender on the seat and the backrest. That, of course, is for Scarlett whom I have not seen since June. Currently my HD dealership has her up in the rafters and did all the things they do when it won't be ridden for a while. I am hoping that I will get these issues cleared up and can't wait til I can ride her again, especially since I only have 400 miles on her so far. It may not be til November , who knows.

The only things left will be pipes (Laughlin next year), and making sure my bars are fitting right. We will see first with the new seat positioning.

My first & last CVO, Scarlett, arrived 6-1-12. I always remember my mom while riding.  She had smarts with a spirit of independence & adventure. "You Gotta LIVE!", was her motto; her favorite color red, and she loved BLING.

Been thinking about riding up to see C&C as they're only about 90 minutes away from San Diego. Is the backrest adjustable?

Nice looking seat!! I agree with your comments about the Danny Gray seat lifting the rider an inch or so.  My Danny Gray arrived yesterday and it was definitely a different feel when I got on the bike. Oddly this is my first custom seat on a bike and all the choices can be overwhelming for a first time buyer like myself.  I wish I had gone to a rally where I could have tried others.  I love my seat and I wanted the airhawk feature, but it would have been nice to sit on others and compare a bit.  Fortunately I lucked out and really like my seat.

I have the DG Airhawk also and it will drop a bit as it breaks in. The best seat I have ever had in 30 years of riding...

If you don't mind your stock seat then here is a nice alternative that won't break the bank.  Auto Orginal in New Mexico can take your passenger backrest that came with the bike and turn it into a rider backrest.  Utilizes the same setup as Corbin as far as adjustments and such.  Quite comfortable.
