My XD-s showed up the other day after our latest snowstorm. Was surprised since fedex constantly puts out weather delay alerts.

Was returned in the Walther case I sent it in along with a new 7 round mag as a token. Also a new owners manual. I was kind of hoping the Walther case would have been trashed and replaced with ta factory XD-s case

So I retrieved my XDS .45 from the FedEx office this evening. Sure enough, came back with a case, extended mag and an extra mag plastic spacer (don't know why). Good excuse to go to the range this weekend. Also there was a note about an update owner's manual available for download.

Simon, the extra spacer is to match up to the back strap  extension you are using. I have the thicker back strap so the extra mag had the matching spacer and the smaller spacer was in the box.

http://www.springfieldrecall.com/RecallUpdate.asp

There you should be able to search your serial number and see if it falls in the recall range

Mine should be here tomorrow.  I sent it in right after Thanksgiving.

Sent from my iPad, probably while I'm pooping.

Mine is home, just wish I could get out and run a box through it. That automatic double tap is going to be missed....lol

Without.  I wrapped it in bubble wrap and put it in a small box.

And now it's home safe with a new magazine and a case.

Heard they were adding the case for those that were shipped plain. And a nice case it is.
