RSA, look through this thread:

http://flhrsei.org/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=eg_gen;action=display;num =1070477740

A phone number for McEwan along with considerable discussion of the gauge (pro and con) is in the thread.

McEwan's phone number 951-736-4421.

I call it frequently and leave messages, which he never returns.

I have a problem with my gauge and I guess customer service is not his forte.

For those two reasons I would not recommend spending the money.

Porthole, thanks for the current status on McEwan.  Somone mentioned some time ago that they'd had trouble getting in contact with him (might have been you).  I'd wondered earlier on in this thread whether anyone had heard from him lately.

That's too bad as it seems like the Harley version, if and when it becomes available is rather difficult to install.  Roger's gauge was seemingly a better alternative despite some of the criticisms we had about it not being an exact match.

The position of the sensor on the Harley kit is certainly going to be more of a pain the arse than would be the position of the sensor as instructed in McEwan's kit.  The Harley position, however, is going to give you a better reading of oil temp relative to how that oil is living in the engine.

One what?  The Harley gauge that's a different color is available over the parts counter.  The McEwan gauge that is similar to our gauges but not a great match would be available from McEwan except that earlier in this thread several have written that he is, apparently, no longer answering the phone or recieving email.
