Go ahead, keep changing your stock units... I will be the only one running with the stock units and my bike will look unique:P

Seem I am the only one that likes the stock units... visibility is frigging great with them.  ;)

Unique is fine but for me uniqueness ends when ugly over rides unique.
My issue with the round mirrors on the 12 SERG is that they are not part of a matching collection set on the bike.
The mirrors do not match the shifter linkage, the shifter, the hand grips, the floorboards, the breather or the side covers.
I'm not sure what they are suppose to match or tie back to. Maybe I have missed the entire concept of the round mirrors.
Each to their own I guess.
Of course I will keep the stock ones to go back on should the 12 SERG ever leave it's home.
But if that does happen, as it leaves I will take that last look and think, those mirrors are as ugly today as they were the day I brought that bike home.

Found some great mirrors in black (only found a pic in chrome) that I think will look amazing on my SERGC.

On the mirrors... I have some that were installed on my sport bike. Beautiful Italian mirrors made by Rizoma.  Here, take a look at what they have:

http://www.rizoma.com/universal/mirrors/en

I did install those on my Sedona Orange RGC despite some HD purist comments  ;D .  I should install those on the CVO to see how they go with the rest of the bike, hummm

These are the Rizoma Protype Sport...

Hey I know why round mirrors........they match the round skull emblems on that model...... :huepfenlol2:

They just left the skulls off the mirrors as a cost cutting thing...   :huepfenlol2:

An observation...probably been said before, but not by me.  :confused5:

It's simply amazing to read this conversation regarding mirrors on a 30K plus MC.  Weren't the upgraded mirrors a standard part of the CVO package in the past?  If they're doing these kinds of cuts to the cost on such obvious parts; one wonders what they're doing on parts you can't see...or is there something I'm missing?  The price keeps going up and what they give is less...????

These bikes are their most profitable product.  But it appears that isn't enough.  Based on what I've read in various threads, MoCo is at risk of losing a significant number of their most loyal customers...or do they know for sure we'll suck it up because we all know buying a CVO is just a start?  And it is going to be necessary to sink another grand or two to have the bike look and run the way they should out of the factory.

I'm enjoying the heck out of my bike and am constantly finding ways to tweak and personalize; but something as simple and inexpensive as matching mirrors to the rest of the hardware is a no brainer.  I wonder what think tank that one came out of.  Obviously one that is not in touch with CVO buyers.   But even so, they're still selling like hotcakes... :nixweiss:  Go figger... :drink:
