What a beautiful town!  And those boots  . I own a couple of pairs of cowboy boots but I don't have anything that purdy.  I would have bought a pair and shipped them home.

In that town.......Terrie and I were in a shirt shop.  They had a pair of thongs for $275.....not sure if they would negotiate.

This train is smaller than normal……about 2/3 the size of a real train…..only about 8 feet tall.

Tomorrow we’re off to Lake City and Creede, Colorado…….where Johnny Dep is filming Tonto & The Lone Ranger and……..where we had dinner with his brother Donnie Dep.

Great pictures JC as always, Beautiful area we certainly missed a good trip. Understand thanks to Terri we might be able to look forward to that......God willing. Thanks again for all the pictures and comintary, I guess you could say I've come to expect it from you. Scenic Byway Silver Thread is a “must ride” at least once in your life!

The scenery along this highway is a constant change.  I can only imagine what it’d be like to ride thorough here in the fall when the Aspens are in full color…..

 

 








 









Never did see a lake or hear about one unless it was the Blue Mesa Lake we passed 30 miles back……

My next challenge/adventure…..look forward to doing this loop in my 4x4.  It’s a loop between Lake City, Ouray and Silverton back to Lake City.  A 4 wheel or all wheel drive car will not make it.  They said that it needs to have some body lift……that any 4x4 truck and most high lift SUVs should make it OK.  Of course, the shorter wheelbase will do better, clearance wise.
