Was just about to order a solo mustang seat w/ backrest from Dennis Kirk, and I thought I would double check w/ mustang on fitment.

I spoke to a VERY nice lady, and she said that seat (or any of their solo's) would not fit on the 08 SERK. There is some difference between where the
fender meets the frame. Apparently there is no issue with anyother SE FL model.....

I like to bucket type style of the sundowner, but they dont make a solo either!!!!

Has anyone heard of this before?

I called them and was told the same thing. But check out the FLTRSE section here and look for a thread about Mustang seats. In it I asked the same question and several people told me that they will fit the 09 FLTRSE3 and there is a picture of one with it on it. Also another member said he helped with the development of it. I ended up ordereing a Saddlemen Explorer seat with backrest and was told it would fit, but I don't have it yet.

They said it will fit ALL other touring 08/09 touring models except the 08 SERK?? Something about where the fender meets the frame....

Thought about ordering one from Dennis Kirk, but hate to pay shipping to return it

Pre 07 has a male tab at seat nose , 08 & 09 has a reciever with tab attached to frame.

Sorry, I read SERG when you said you had a SERK. Maybe it doesn't fit the Road King.
