Stu,

Other than the leaking are the HAT's better than the Focals 5x7"s in sound.  I am ordering a set and Pete recommended the Focals for better sound.  Your opionion would help.  I'm in Fl too.

I think the Hybrid sound great. Has great bass and fit perfectly. If you are sold on the Focals that will leak,, get hold of me.  You can have mine for cheap.  They are brand brand new in the box,,, in my closet.  They also do not have the fit the hybrids offer.  I  don't want leaky bags.  I stil  think these are better.  Talk to Rich   Tif2.  He will agree with me.

You sold me, I wanted the Hybrids but Pete said the Focals produced cleaner sound.  He did say they would leak which I don't want.

Are the Focal speakers truly water proof? I ride in the rain 200+ days a year with sometimes torrential downpours for several hours at a time.  I cannot seem to find any data on Focal speakers and durability vs. water and ice.

I really think that if you don't want to spend what it takes for the arc amp and Focals,   Hawg wired will do the trick.  Much better than the stock junk. But can't compare to the arc and Focals.   Ive had both.

Looking to clarify a little on your post about Hawg Wired.  I am seeing a number of ads for upgraded replacement fairing speakers, I have an '11 CUSE and would like to just replace the 2 front/fairing speakers and use the current amp.  Which of the Hawg Wired models could I go with and how much of an improvement should I expect?  As for the install of the fairing speakers, would you recommend a do-it yourself or take it in to HD (I am "somewhat" handy).

My current amp/speakers are fine until you get to speeds over 65 and/or there is a lot of wind, so I am only trying to get a little more out of them. Is Hawg Wired the best for this type of replacement, or are there others that I should look at?

Thanks for your help - radios/speakers are one area that I have yet to explore on my bike!
