 AJ,
Not good. Very sorry that you have to go through this. I skipped the first few pages of posts, so sorry if you already have this.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intentions of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proudly proclaiming
"Wow, what a ride"

Dennis Hammer was a kind, compassionate person who was always there to help & listen.  Dennis rode with the Savannah HOG Chapter as well as the Thursday Retired HOG Riders, many times riding from Beaufort to Savannah only to double back and ride to Charleston & back. He loved to ride and ride he did.  You always knew when Dennis was in sight as his "sidecar" gave him away. He volunteered at all the HOG events.  Dennis really lived a full life, experiencing the good with the bad and making the best of both.  His friends will miss him dearly but will remember him forever. He's in a better place of peace and serenity. May he be at peace with himslef and his God for he was an honorable man.  AND may the person who brought Dennis to his final chapter be forever grateful that there are so many of us willing to fogive such an unthoughtful act in the name of the Lord.

Well said...my condolences on the loss of your good friend...

I thought I sent a email last week about Dennis but didn't see it go thru so not sure I am doing this forum right...
I am a friend of Dennis and his late wife Diane, via the cat fancy. I was very sad to hear of his death but can only hope he and Diane are now together again and watching over all of us and loving on all the 4 legged critters up there with them.
Like Diane, Dennis also loved his cats and had always hoped to get one of my curly cats to show. I do know that Dennis also loved his bike riding and his bike friends.
I saw the pics and was so happy to see he also had another *family* in all of you guys.
He was certainly a gentle giant and may he rest in peace.
Thanks for allowing me to also post.

Best Regards,
Trish~~
