Well we received the Hog Pod yesterday, but unfortunately there was a stripped screw hole so Hog Tunes is sending another today (see http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=33013.0 )Held it up to the FLHX and it looks pretty good. Uses the same holes as the padded dash that some of us have, otherwise comes with templates for (ouch) drilling the holes from the back side of the inner fairing. See pics. We are going to have it painted along with the inner to match the bike.

As much as I like chrome I would be a little concerned w/a lot of chrome in that area causing glare back in my eyes as I was going down the road. :nixweiss: I have no problem w/blinding somebody else w/my chrome but little leery of blinding myself w/my chrome. :D :D

People haven't been blinded by the Bananas.  I thought they'd burn out rider's retinas while riding east away from late afternoon sun.  Nothing, not even chrome, is brighter than a Banana.

Here is a link to another site that Pez (hog Tunes) frequents and some pics. Here is one painted with 3 pouch winshield bags.

          Hey Trapper,

Wondering how the Hog Pod worked out, how does it look ( in person) and how does it sound?

           Thanks for the update,

             William

Hi William, We haven't installed them yet so I can't give you a report. Melanie has decided to get or paint her inner fairing and the Hog Pod so we are in the process of making that happen. I can say that when holding it up to her bike it looks good and pretty much the same dimensions as the dash pad on the FLHTCUSE, even uses the same mounting holes. Roger

William,
I was just at the dealer show and the Tweeter Pod, impressed me...It enhanced and cleared up the sound that was being put out.  I liked the piece...

Anybody know if you can install the Hog pod with the stock stereo system?  I am satisfied with my factory HK system and amp, but would like the extra tweeters near ear level. I know everybody says the complete upgrade is superior, but I don't want to fix something that isn't broken.
