:nixweiss: Thinking of getting rid of the hard wired cable from the bike to the helmet. Presently have the HD full face Boom setup. The cable from the bike to the helmet needs to be replaced and it is not listed in the P&A catalog. Searched online and J&M still offers something similar but thinking of going wireless. People recommend either the Sean or Cardio product. Do these units connect or pair to the phone which is then paired to the motorcycle? Reluctant to modify the bike by installing the Wireless Headset Interface Module (WHIM) as that takes out the microphone wired option. Dealer installation is recommended for the WHIM as a software update is required. The Cardio unit battery is good for about 4 hours, per details, and usually would be using this for more than 4 hours so will still need a cord connection from helmet to bike.

Do a search for the 117...lots of great info on bikes already done. Basically, head work will help, but there are other cams that will produce better results for the money spent. All depending on the results you're looking for...

Sorry, didn't see your "before I build" post...

Wishing you the best with your project. I know when finally finished it will have been worth the time and trouble. Very nice looking bike.

Hey Y'all,
I do not actually have a CVO model, but I created one.
I have an '06 Street Glide and needed a new motor, but ended up buying an '04 CVO 103" and corresponding transmission with SE 6 speed in it. Unfortunately, got it all done and couldn't get it to run. :'( Ultimately took it to a very good local independent shop and they are trying to figure it out. Turns over. but won't run. I am confident the motor is fine, just something is wrong. I bought the corresponding ecu from the `04 and it wouldn't work.
Now, I am told I need a key fob because the security system is locked... they put the '06 ecu back in, still not working. I never got a key fob with the bike, I bought it used four years ago... very challenging situation. I did all the work up to taking it to the shop earlier this week after the issues got beyond my skill set. I have ridden and raced motorcycles since I was around 13 (1977). I am baffled. I'm just a garage rat though and not a mechanic, just and r&r man with a lot of tools.
Anyway, it should all work out.
I think I will get a much newer bike next time around.

Thanks guys, I'm sorry I didn't say that the bike is a 15 RG . It may be a week or so before I can get this done, again thanks for all the information.

782 views, but not one bit of advice or help. I’m not an electrician, was hoping for guidance.  :-X I will connect to the rear tail light cables and pray I don’t burn the bike down. Almost finished the oil can, waiting for new gaskets and o rings from dealer. The breather bolts look chit and don’t suit a CVO…wish they were chrome..might have to polish them before I reinstall everything. Rear tail lights (US domestic) and custom dynamics lights arriving soon. 80% of bolts on bike replaced with chrome bolts. Rear tail bag and saddlebags ready to go, just need to install Chopz tail tidy first.
