It really is amazing that out of 64 bikes built nearly ten years ago, 4 are in Alabama.  And near each other within the state to boot.  And several of the owners know each other.

Hmmmm.  I think I said it before.  CVO FXR get-together in Alabama.  Roll that thought around.

[edit] The 29 Dreams Motorcycle resort is over just outside of Birmingham in Vandiver.  Not far from Anniston.  And it's been a long time but I strayed off the road a bit during a business trip from Atlanta to Birmingham some years ag just to explore, and it seems like I recall nice rolling nearly-Blue Ridge mountain landscapes (nice riding) around Anniston.  Do I have that right or am I losing my memory? Just thought I'd throw that in.

Was in B'ham a year ago this past April.  It's hilly alright, though we did not get off the beaten path too much.  Did go to 29 Dreams for breakfast on a Sunday morning, though.  Neat place.  Betcha they could squeeze us in there.

Well, before I got Cybil, I read and researched everything I could find on CVO's and SERK. But I wasn't planning this one, and since I'll be waiting 2 more weeks for Joy, I figure I'd learn everything I can about FXR3's before she arrives!!! That includes going thru every thread on this board!!! Notice we almost have 2 pages of posts in Aug alone, in the FXR2/3/4 Board now! Apparently I'm not the only one excited by these fine machines!!!

Back to the registry part--I've often referred to a low mileage Blue 3 that I had seen at a indy shop in NC and thought had been sold to a buyer in Alabama.  Well, I contacted that shop and was wrong.  Here's the e-mail I got back from the shop owner:

Mike, Good memory. Good to hear from you. The bike was a sold to a customer
in Thibodeaux, Louisiana  on 07/29/2004. The bike had 184 miles on it.  Good
luck.

At what point do you guys start helping people with their ads, according to this person there appears to have been some NEW 1999 FXR3 Blue Flame bikes produced......let's just say it looks like about 386 more....lol....yikes.....

Tim, check the 3rd Party For Sale section of the site.  I think it was CVOJOE who posted a link to that bike.  Jorge was interested, so Howie called for him to try to find out more information.  The guy was surprised the ad was still active and said the bike was no longer for sale.  Weird.

To answer your question, I would think we don't want anyone to know how rare they are until after we buy them all up!
