01 SERG Radio upgrade?
« on: March 03, 2009, 03:19:56 PM »

Howdy y'all - Looking at several 01 FLTRSE2's out there, now just have to talk Mrs Fester into it.  :-\

What recommendations do y'all have for upgrading the radio? I'd mostly just want something with an aux plug for my Zumo, but also compatible with the stock handlebar controls. The Biketronics packages look interesting, if they're worth the money.

Also, have any of y'all put in the J&M speakers? I've seen them on later models, but never heard them on the older pre-HK stereos.

I just pulled the trigger this morning and ordered my head unit and adapter.  I went with the Sony CDX-GT730UI head unit and purchased the Sirius Sat kit for it as well.  Went with the Hawg Wired adapter kit.  J&M speakers were installed last year.  Hoping they will sound a little better with new head unit.  Will move forward with Amps and new speakers later.  Still deciding on how I want that set up.  Hopefully I will have it wrapped up this next weekend.  Cheers.
