I checked out the screamin eagle that was done to brassspike's bags and it is really a cool feature. You will be pleased, it turned out super nice.  I wish I had him do that to mine on the redo, but hindsight is always 20/20.

OK, I got the bags re-done after the incident with the right one.  I have always liked the fat boy front fender on the 2007 SERK so I found one cheap on Ebay and had Jason paint it when he fixed my bags.  It turned out nice, and I really like it.  I didn't have him put any black on it, just painted it solid copper.  With the hard bags, it really makes my bike look great.

You would have to ask Jason. His number is on one of the previous post by Jbbrown. I do know that heasked for one of my side covers in order to match the paint so it may be that he is matching each job.

Thanks for the tip... I spoke with Jason yesterday, but unfortunately he wouldn't release the paint code to me.  However he did give me a tip to pass along to my painter.

After speaking with my painter about the situation, I ended up giving him Jason's info and hopefully they can talk and get things done???

Going on 6 weeks without my bike!  Like I said, hopefully they'll work things out and I'll have my bike back soon.

JB, I have the bags on now and I have noticed that the retainers are not as tight as with the leather bags. I just bent the springs back a little to get the proper tension. As luck would have it, as soon as I did that I thought of something better. DUH! Just add an additional fender washer to the one already on there and that should tighten things up and secure your bags. Then you can change back and forth with the bags' I'll be fixing that this weekend.

I'm selling a set of hard bags and lids, painted to match the 2008 CVO Road King in the "selling" section of the CVOHarley website if anyone is interested.

Can you trll me where you had this dome.  Just bought a 2008 SERK and like to tlook...

I bought a new set of primered bags and had a local guy paint them.  He does a lot of custom work and done a fantastic job, especially considering the only thing he had to work off of was my side covers.  (Thank you Harley for not giving up the paint codes)

I talked with the guy who painted the bags and he welcomes the business.  His name is Jason Volanski, he is in West Frankfort, Illinois.  His phone number is 618-932-2695.

This is in the middle of the thread. Those bags do look great!!!

You can also check out paintbygene.com or Bigfaty's, same company just do not know if the have changed their website yet. They painted the Fairing, Hardbags and King Tour Pak for my 07 SERK, Razor Red With the Gold Oak Leaf Flames and they matched perfect.

The bags look really good. I am having lids and spoiler fins done for my hard bags. Hope the lids turn out as good as yours did.
