My husband joined as WeCVO, as we had just picked up my bike - two of us with CVOs. But when I'd type under that handle, the guys got mad at me - some kind of gendre response issues. So I logged on under my own handle given to me - Mrs. WeCVO. My husband was then chided into becoming Mr. WeCVO and that is how we became Mr and Mrs WeCVO, or as twolanerider calls us, the WeWe's. If I'd have even guessed then that I would spend so much time here, there is no way that would have been my handle, but it seems too late to change em now.

In Craps (a dice game that I like to play) a Hardway is rolling a number with two identical die. It is a bet that usually favors the house and therefore pays greater odds. However I seem to have luck rolling the hard 10, ie 5 5. Some just say I'm hardheaded or I like sucker bets :huepfenjump3:.

I was the Road Captain in a Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club (No, I was just a mechanic for them and it was open to people who support the causes), took the club on a poker ride and one of the "preset" stops forgot to open. Well the club president (a local Watch Commander) loved this, and called me Wrongway King. It stuck real good! The Road Captain is Wrongway. The had a another name for me as well: Tad Rapid..I ride that way. Had to slow down when leading a group of up 75-80 riders. The wife is known as Lil-Bit, she was the smallest in the club.

Bagger..........backwards! As in 180 degrees out.......totally mindfugged! Diva suggested I changed it to something along the lines of "Brillo," since I just can't make myself believe that stuff won't scratch my chrome. Anyway, Bagger came from my old daughter, who names my bikes, which was the name of the 02 Ultra. She named the melon "Thumper." That name was taken on the site, so I reverted to my old name. Oh well, at least I got the license plate.

There's a lake in NW Iowa called "Okoboji". Lots of folks refer to it as Boji. The wife and I own some property there and that's where we will retire to, not soon enough. So that's where Bojiboy comes from, not that I'm anxious to retire. :coolblue: :2vrolijk_21:

Work on super conducting magnets 1.5 Tesla. Use liquid helium to keep it cold...real cold...at that temp no Resistance. If the liquid He leaks out it has a 700 to 1 expansion
ratio...it will displace all the air in the room. Thus displacing air.
Part two...my buddy used to tell me just ride whatever bike you can get as long as
it cuts the wind. And riding my bike...I am also displacing air (physics) in a different way. Cuts wind just didn't seem appropriate for a name...and would of gave the wrong message.

Cerberus is from Greek Mythology.
Growing up in rural Maine we always had Dalmatians’ and one of them was quite aggressive.
Our running joke was that we should have named him Cerberus which was the three-headed dog guarding the entrance to Hades, the world of the dead. He ensured that spirits of the dead could enter, but none could exit (additionally no living person was to come into Hades).

Mine's easy, but the reason is because I was using that name for the Internet Dating site, Match.com, I was on after I got divorced, so it was the first thing that popped into mind when I joined here.
BTW...met Suzanne (HarleyDiva) on Match.com Took 3 years, but it was all worth it.
Some of my aquaintances call me TC, and when I was much younger, some people called me Top Cat, among other things.

I worked interdiction in South America for a while with ...long story... and got to be known locally and on the teams as viento helado (the ice wind). Moved on to other, calmer venues in the military and was visited by some of my old team, and they noted that I had mellowed to a Cool breeze. (Kind of funny as I was into selling and competing with 2 and 4 line kites at the time) and was spending a lot of time in the breeze on the beaches... The name stuck and has been a calming influence on me ever since.

It's pretty much stock. 440 four barrel. Automatic on the column. In fact, it is a reliable but a tired motor. I have plans.... The transmission has a gear vendor overdrive and the rear is 4.10 geared. The overdrive gives it approximately 3.23 high gear. Since I've gotten back into motorcycles, It doesn't see the light of day very often. Just a couple of shows or cruises a year. About once a month I drive it around town with a grandkid or two.

um, well, hmmm...
I must admit my username is not technically based or has a deep meaning. :P I went simplistic:
BayouBiker - I live near Bayou Rd which runs along a bayou & I'm a biker.
A bayou is a small, slow-moving stream or creek formed in the former bed of a river. Bayous are usually located in low-lying areas, especially in the Mississippi River delta region of the Louisiana. Many bayous are the home of crawfish, certain species of shrimp, other shellfish and catfish.

From Springsteen ... a long time ago ... when I was 17 years old and working as "hired man" on various dairy farms in Upstate NY. I didn't have a dime or a plan ... but I did dance in the rain with a barefoot girl ...
Yes ... Yes, I did ...
;D
****
Since his humble beginnings as a musician, Bruce Springsteen has glorified the common and sometimes even shunned man of society. As a street rat from New Jersey first beginning to record music, Bruce wrote powerful, musical epics about kids like himself that had never been given a chance because they did not fit the mold of what society was telling them to be.
In the classic masterpiece “Jungleland,” Bruce glorifies the two main characters, the “Magic Rat” and the “Barefoot Girl,” street punks who, while considered outcasts by society, possess some greatness through the artistic power that they hold.
"Jungleland"
--------------
The Rangers had a homecoming
In Harlem late last night
And the Magic Rat drove his sleek machine
Over the Jersey state line
Barefoot girl sitting on the hood of a Dodge
Drinking warm beer in the soft summer rain
The Rat pulls into town rolls up his pants
Together they take a stab at romance
And disappear down Flamingo Lane
Well the Maximum Lawmen run down Flamingo
Chasing the Rat and the barefoot girl
And the kids round here look just like shadows
Always quiet, holding hands
From the churches to the jails
Tonight all is silence in the world
As we take our stand
Down in Jungleland
The midnight gang's assembled
And picked a rendezvous for the night
They'll meet 'neath that giant Exxon sign
That brings this fair city light
Man there's an opera out on the Turnpike
There's a ballet being fought out in the alley
Until the local cops
Cherry Tops
Rips this holy night
The street's alive
As secret debts are paid
Contacts made, they vanish unseen
Kids flash guitars just like switch-blades
Hustling for the record machine
The hungry and the hunted
Explode into rock'n'roll bands
That face off against each other out in the street
Down in Jungleland
In the parking lot the visionaries
Dress in the latest rage
Inside the backstreet girls are dancing
To the records that the DJ plays
Lonely-hearted lovers
Struggle in dark corners
Desperate as the night moves on
Just one look
And a whisper, and they're gone
Beneath the city two hearts beat
Soul engines running through a night so tender
In a bedroom locked
In whispers of soft refusal
And then surrender
In the tunnels uptown
The Rat's own dream guns him down
As shots echo down them hallways in the night
No one watches when the ambulance pulls away
Or as the girl shuts out the bedroom light
Outside the street's on fire
In a real death waltz
Between what's flesh and what's fantasy
And the poets down here
Don't write nothing at all
They just stand back and let it all be
And in the quick of the night
They reach for their moment
And try to make an honest stand
But they wind up wounded
Not even dead
Tonight in Jungleland

Seegarsmkr---say it with me seegar--smkr. Not very creative but it works. It was my first e-mail address on Hotmail and I have stuck with it. I smoke pipes more often now but don't want to be known as a pipe smoker so it will be Seegarsmkr til I die.

Mine was based on my email address, which in itself was derived from the monica for the Harley Owners Group.
It kind of slipped naturally into 110 SERK when I cam here, but it's not very inventive. I wish I could change it now, but I don't think the system will let me do that.

You can change your screen name (what shows up beside your posts), but you can't change your username (the name you initially signed up with). Go to Profile - Account Related Settings. You will see "Username" and under that "Name: This is the displayed name that people will see." To the right of the "Name" box will be a text box that you can enter what you want to appear by your posts.

Porthole:
By the time I bought our first boat I had been diving shipwrecks for almost 20 years and never found one. Been on many dives where others brought them up. Intact portholes are a wreck divers dream, next to a ship's bell.
So, the 1st boat got named "Porthole"
And the 2nd, "Porthole II"
And the 3rd, "Porthole III"
And the 1st "real" porthole I got I actually bought on eBay to make a table!

Hey Nige, I'm more into diving then fishing, and all of my biggest fish have been with a spear gun, 8-10 pound fluke, 5.5 pound flounder and a 15 pound blackfish.
Hook & line, I mostly do fluke and sea bass.

The first porthole I saw come up on a dive was pentagon shaped! Over the years I have seen just about every shape you can imagine, round, square, rectangle, oval, opening, non opening, with storm cover, without etc.

Oh, and the lobster in the table was 14.9 pounds, personal best for me (2nd was 10 pounds and 3rd was 7.8), a near perfect specimen, no battle damage etc. Actually felt bad about taking it but made arrangements with the local aquarium to take him, they were thrilled since the biggest they had was around 4 pounds.
I kept him alive for 2.5 days (live well), the aquarium killed him in 2 hours!
The deal I had with the aquarium was that if anything happened to "Larry" I get him back. It took the taxidermist 1 year from the time I dropped it off until pickup, and he did a fantastic job.

I chose IronHorse because that was the name I used when I joined the Indian Guides with my son many years ago. All the dads were thinking of names. We had a Doctor who chose "Medicine Man", a Rocket Scientist who chose "MoonWalker", and an attorney who chose "DoubleSpeak". Well I ride, so I became IronHorse. My son was "Screaming Eagle".
On other sites I am known as "Paniolo" which in Hawaiian means Cowboy, or more specifically "Hawaiian Cowboy". When the Eurpoeans came to the islands they gave King Kamehameha cattle as a gift. The cattle was the property of the king, and thus were sacred. No one could touch them. So for years the cattle wandered the Big Island growing in numbers and grazing everywhere. One day an enterprising person suggested ranching the cattle. So they went for the best horsemen and ranchers and came back with Spaniards. The Hawaiians asked the these cowboys where they were from and how they are called. These newcomers in bright colored clothing said "Somos Espanolos" (we are Spaniards). Well the Hawaiians took the work Espanolo, and made it Paniolo, Hawaiian Cowboys. The Hawaiians adopted some of the Spanish culture and made it their own. They took the Spanish guitar, and made a smaller version. They were fascinated at how fast the hands and fingers jumped across the guitar strings like fleas jumping on the back of a dog. So they called the smaller guitar Ukulele, which in Hawaiian means "jumping fleas".
Well being that I am from Hawaii and am part Hawaiian, I chose Paniolo for my license plate, cuz sometimes I see myself as a Hawaiian Cowboy riding his IronHorse.

In my younger days I operated at a much faster speed and moved around a lot. Realized one day that I was missing alot so I made a mental promise to myself to slow down and check things out. I became a shadow observer, unmoving in the background, watching, learning. Along the way I got to see many things, good things, horrible things, funny things, unbelievable things(if I hadn't seen it myself), and now I've come to the point where I should say all of the above is crap, I've been a Pink Floyd fan forever and friends gave me the name. Had you going huh?

Lucky Rick.....Rick, that would be me. The lucky part came from a trip to Daytona for the 500 in '03. I had been without a bike for a number of years, do to too many reasons to post. I had been dropping hints for a while that it would be nice to be riding again and she would really enjoy it also. I was not hitting the mark in my quest for approval. There were many bikes on the road the farther south we went on the way to Florida. I would say, "look at that lucky guy/girl" on that bike. This went on for hours into the drive, seeing and then saying "look at that lucky guy on that Harley". She really getting sick of me letting her know these were lucky people on Harley's. A guy in a truck pulling a tailer with 2 Harley's in tow went by and she said, "look at that guy, he must be a real lucky ba$turd, he's got 2 Harley's". It became a running joke to see anyone on a Harley and saying they were lucky ba$turds. It was a short while later I became a lucky ba$turd whenI bought my '02 RK. I didn't want to be known as lucky ba$turd, so I'm Lucky Rick.

Man, I felt guilty taking off the freaking leather whips he had on there, the grip and lever tassel things...beat the CHIT out of me!
I still have the stickers he put on the bags, they are Indian feathers, high speed stickers he got. I am not a huge fan, but I was there when he was putting them on, and he was STOKED about these things, kept talking about them, etc etc...
I would rather leave em then darken that memory. It's gonna stay as is unless it's a safety thing like the controls or the windshield.

I used to dragrace topgas Kawasaki's years ago, well I was doing a test-n-tune at my local track(edgewater) a couple of weeks before I was to leave for the finals in Memphis. I shifted into second gear, the nitrous was activated through the onboard controller and KABOOM, the crankshaft broke, the end porkchop actually exited the bottom of the case hit the ground and bounced up and hit me in the knee. Got the bike back to the trailer and was icing my knee when a friend of mine was surveying the damage to the motor, he tells me you better come look at this. When the motor blew I thought it probably took out the cases and maybe the trans, well I go over and look at what he's talking about and I see the cylinder head (mega $$$) is raised on the one side. To make a long story short after I pulled the motor from the frame and put it on the floor, I took a pair of dikes and cut the copper head gasket and the motor was split dead down the center into two pieces. Fast forward two weeks, I replaced the bullet went to Memphis and won the race. I had taken the broken motor and set it out in my pit area for people to see and a couple of them had said it looked like you took a hacksaw and cut that motor in two. The track announcer got wind of this and the rest is history.

Mine's for the V-rod. I signed up on the V-rod forum first (www.1130cc.com among other url's which all point to the same site)
It's a Night Rod Special. Well they're a dime a dozen over at 1130cc.com. The relatively uncreative approach I used was based a little on the model name, VRSCDX. "Regular" Night Rod doesn't have the X. So NightRodX.
Figured I should use the same handle here because I'm a little slow on the uptake some days. Now I kind of wish I hadn't. But I do love that V-rod, it's a bunch of no-chrome fun.

My handle has nothing to do with the comic book superhero. My Dad was always Spyder Webb to all of his friends and I took his handle as mine when I joined the site because he was battling cancer (he lost) and I was thinking of him. Since then, I've made 1,000 or more friends who call me Spiderman and every time someone does it reminds me of my Dad. That makes me smile

When I was a plumbers apprentice I worked with a quite a few different mechanics. So they really never got to know your name. Most of the time it was" hey kid " get this. Mav -- short for mavrick, because I usually do my own thing, sometimes don't really care what other people think, but mostly I like the movie, and have used it on other boards.
7266 - last 4 digits of employee number from a previous employer.
short, simple, easy to remember.
I'm sure I will need to get out the TP and have ready for footbal season, so the Tide can continue to Roll ! They will need it!!

Abbynormal....because I love the movie Young Frankenstein.
Cool!! :bananarock: I remember that part of the flick...
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Igor, would you mind telling me whose brain I did put in?
Igor: And you won't be angry?
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: I will NOT be angry.
Igor: Abby someone.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Abby someone. Abby who?
Igor: Abby Normal.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Abby Normal?
Igor: I'm almost sure that was the name.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Are you saying that I put an abnormal brain into a seven and a half foot long, fifty-four inch wide GORILLA?
[shakes and grabs him]
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: IS THAT WHAT YOU'RE TELLING ME?
:D :D :D
My favorite line: "What Hump?"

LRebel and Miker! You have me laughing my head off! GREAT to find like-minded (abnormal?) minds here. Although not everyone here knows Young Frankenstein, I think there are many who fit the catagory!
Another of my favorite lines is "where wolf?'
LRebel, you are brilliant to come up with the exact dialogue. You guys have made my day!

Brilliant..... I think so too :D
No, really I cheated... you can find anything on the internet. That movie came out in 1974 - my memory is not that good.
It takes a little different sence of humor to really appreciate Young Frankenstein ;)

The last 2 loans I got were a mess. 2 of the 3 credit reporting agencies had me listed as deceased, Almost as bad as having your identity stolen. 8 solid weeks of pure BS each time. but I am getting real good at in now.
Glad to say when I checked last month I was still alive. .

I went through some tough times in my life, alot of ups & downs, mostly my fault, I admit! But, because I came out ok after all that I have been through, I consider myself pretty blessed, so the "Sir" part came from people saying that I earned the respect after all that has happened, kind of like strengh & survival combined if that makes sense!! I have a tatoo of the superman logo "S" on my arm on a rock, "S" stands for SirMichael and the rock just symbolizes strengh & survival!! Justs reminds me that I wasted 10+ years of my life learning how to do the right thing, showing that no matter what happens in life, never give up!! :2vrolijk_21:
Michael is my name, and the "113" part was my motor of coarse at the time!!

T stands for my middle name Tracy MAC stands for my last name McCullough
I have several other nicknames BIG COUNTRY AND HILLBILLY are what I am called the most. I am from NC been in Washington for 12 years but still have the accent so BIG COUNTRYand HILLBILLY are used often. To be honest I thought that T MAC sounded a little more well "Harley like" - hey I was a newbie and didn't know you yet- than BIG COUNTRY or HILLBILLY. If I would have known what a crazy great group you were when I first signed up I would have went with BIG COUNTRY.

I grew up in a small desert community, actually Ridgecrest Ca. My father (Gordy) worked at China Lake Naval Ordnance test station and was Ordnance Engineer, for 30 years. Every weekend and many summer weeks our family and many others spent our time watersking, either at Lake Diaz near Lone Pine, or Lake Isabella near Bakersfield. My Pops was a top dog waterskier, he even considered going pro on a few occasions. When i was around 6 years old i can remember everyone calling him SportyGordy. He was always known as SportyGordy, no one ever called him Gordy, always Sporty Gordy. Last November 21, 2007 we lost our Pops at a young 86 years old. When i was trying to figure out my handle it came natural to use Sporty Gordy, even though my name ain't even close to Gordy..

The proper pronunciation of my last name. Also, in most cases, I'm an early adopter, especially in technology. The HD came late in the game for someone who picks up on most trends. Perhaps because it's not a trend, it's a lifestyle.
