I'm buying whatever RG that has the ability to remove or add a tourpak. I hope it is a CVO but if not. oh well. My 07 Jester has to go! Well, it doesn't, but there are so many improvements and after riding a few Rushmore's I just can't see putting it off much longer. The dealer meeting is in Nashville 22 August, it'll be a long summer wondering. The door to my CD player will not stay shut, so I just use it to store the iPhone cord...

I'm dreading the roll-out of a new SERG because I'm afraid I might want one.   :nervous:

The yellow SERG is still my favorite paint scheme; of course blue is cool too Chip.

No speculation on a "wet motor" just twin cooled, so will have to wait again. My old 00 SERG with the 510g's is almost as good as my 98 evo RG and both are great bikes which run cool and strong. Just can't understand why they just keep tap dancing around the problems with heat and emissions. If they up it to 120 its just to make up for the loss of power with EPA compliance. Most companies went wet in the 70's and 80's to deal with this.

I never bought into the 'tooling' causing HD to not have a RG in the lineup. No way any company would allow tooling to stop them from offering a model that constitutes 9% of their total volume, especially in the high end of their price range. It really isn't that difficult/expensive/time consuming to create the tooling for the fairing. They used two models in 2014 to test the new water cooled engine where they could minimize the required changes to the lower fairing. It makes a lot of sense to hold back the RG, since because of the fixed fairing they can accommodate the cooling system in the fairing for both the custom (no lower fairing) and the ultra once they learn all they can from the bikes released this year with the new engine.

At least that's what I've heard/am hoping for. :)

I think its a matter of fitting that 6.5 inch infotainment screen in the shark.

I'm betting on at least a 103 Ultra with water cooled lowers. CVO 110 with same. Imagine the custom would be like the regular SG this year. I think the 120r is a pipe dream, they make a lot on folks wanting to upgrade to that, and the 110 has only been since, what, 2009?

Laugh if you must but I think if HD wants to employ liquid cooling on the touring bikes they should adapt the Revolution engine from the VROD to the touring frame. Keep the traditional profile of the bikes but shoehorn that 120 HP powerplant in there. I know the VROD's go like a bat out of he!! -in a straight line anyway - the VROD frame geometry doesn't tend to enhance cornering. But that engine in a FLH frame might be just the ticket  :2vrolijk_21:

Not enough torque in the V-Rod motor, unfortunately! It would need more displacement. But what a great motor if they could build torque from 2000 rpm up.

New CVO Roag Glide with a 110ci/1800cc fully water cooled vrod style motor to fully go after the Goldwing crowd. I just bought the new Ultra Limited so I hope I hate anything they put out in 2015. :P

I agree, give me a wet RG that will eat wings and miles all day and I might pull the trigger. So far though, I think you and I will be safe for a while with our present bikes.

A Goldwing can out handle any HD. Face it our MCs are light years behind when it comes to frames and suspension. We finally got got brakes in 2014.

A Goldwing can out handle any HD.

Says the member that spent $40K on a 2014 Harley.
Put a great rider on a Buell Blast and the Goldwang and Harley are toast.
There are very few that can ride any of these bikes to their limit and control it.

Buell was a very good handling bike. But I did not spend $40K on a HD imaginating it is something it is not. I love the HD and will probably always have one but most MCs out handle and out quality any of our rides.

I go so far to say that very few can ride in general.

Half of motorcycle fatalities in single vehicle crashes relate to problems negotiating a curve prior to a crash—almost 60 percent of motorcyclist fatalities in single-vehicle crashes occur at night. Lack of neded skills.
