Virginia is considering a similar law. I wonder how it works at intersections with red light cameras? I hope the person screening the photos can tell you waited the correct amount of time or light cycles.

Good point. But really what choice do we have if the light never changes to green. Wait watch n go.

Good deal Kansas. Ohio needs to do the same. Thanks to ABATE for working on this.

Must be legal to run a redlight in Tenn.
Just watch the beat up muddy Tarus loaded with dirty kids and  scrawny blond yacking on a cell phone trying to keep
her cigerate smoke from burning her eyes.
They`ll run`m every time with a worn out emergency tire on the rear sliding sideways. :alcohol:

You can add rare earth magnets underneath the bike which will trip the sensor fairly reliably. They are pretty common these days and not too expensive. I harvested a bunch from old computer hard drives I had laying around but have yet to mount them. I did a quick search and found a company selling these made specifically for this purpose:

I have not personally tried it yet but it seems to make sense. If you have never worked with rare earth magnets you will be quite surprised at how strong they are.

Same thing I do now.
I wait a reasonable period of time and when the traffic is clear I go.

This has been legal in Ohio for years, if a traffic light is malfunctioning you treat it as a stop sign...that "malfunction" includes failing to change for motorcycles. One would think this would be the law everywhere.

I am so gonna try the jiffy stand down trick. As it is I treat red lights ( turn left arrows) like a stop sign. Go when safe to do so.
