I have been considering them over the Traxxion setup.  Only issue with the Traxxion is the 20,000 mile service.  But the suspension is great.  I like Progressives concept.

It's only money.  Plus, my dealer will install them.

Pete4854 had the progressive $99 ones in his Pumpkin and it rides just as smooth....these have to be better than stock and a lot less up front cost and definitely less upkeep than the Tractions

We recommend a 20,000 mile for HD forks, regardless of whether you have aftermarket suspension, to inspect/replace OEM bushings and to put in fresh oil. Lots of our customers go over 20k, you won't damage our AK20s, they are hard coat anodized. Once we modify the forks to accept the AK20s, they can be serviced like normal by the user or by any dealer, (dealers should give us a call for oil level specs, etc). In other words, it's not because of the AK20s that we recommend a 20k service, it's the OEM parts that need to be serviced.

Brian, you're not REALLY comparing $99 Progressive whatever he did, to the Traxxion AK-20 cartridge foek coversion, are ya? :nixweiss: :nixweiss: :nixweiss:

I have HD dampeners, Progressive springs, and heavier PJ-1 fork oil in my ProStreet narrow glide front end. I've got AK-20's on my SERK, FXWG, and FXR. Believe me, my ProStreet front end AIN'T NOTHING like my other bike's front ends!!! NIGHT AND DAY!!! ;)

I'm comparing a $99 upgrade to a $1200 upgrade as a value for the dollar comparison.

MandM Cycles has them for $271.96  Do not know what the shipping is.  Mark is usually very fair on shipping charges.

I'm comparing a $99 upgrade to a $1200 upgrade as a value for the dollar comparison.

I replaced the stock fork springs with the Progressive front fork springs about 3 years ago.  They were actually about $79 back then, anyway vastly improved handling over stock and I don't need anything better.  I never rode a bike with the Traxxion front end so I can't compare, but I think Don (2 lane) had the Progressives and then installed the Traxxion setup, so maybe he could chime in.  In order for me to spend another $1200 on the front end, those springs better do more than smooth out a few bumps! (if you know what I mean) :huepfenlol2:

No Pete I went from the SEEGs stock front end to the Traxxion Dynamics upgrade.  Am going to give this Progressive option a try though.

The TD package is very good.  Very very good actually.  But if this Progressive Monotube kit is just very good for 800-1000 dollars less and it's something I can do here in the garage some cold Saturday rather than shipping parts all over the country it's worth giving a try.
