DON ARE YOUR STOCK LEGS GOING UP FOR SALE :nixweiss:

G.O., I can't think of any good reason to hang on to them.  So yeah, when the new ones get swapped on the originals will be available.  You needing a set?

damn dood
you are getting a little out of control  :o

Scot, bigger or more expensive tasks on the bike I usually consider for awhile and exercise the proper due diligence on.  Got to admit these were a straight up impulse buy though.

One evening a couple months ago while searching for air cleaner ideas stumbled on to someplace offering engraving options.  One thing led to another and saw a picture somewhere of a set of legs done somewhat similar to these.

Completely realize that some may like them and some may not.  But I just went apechit when I saw them the first time.  Just "one of those things."  So after an intial promise of "a couple weeks time" to get product turned around that turned in to about two months before it was finally done I had them here.

While they were, relative to their own various promises, always slower than a seven year itch in getting things done they were great to work addressing suggestions and responses I had on the various stages of the art and layout.  So, since this is not just a "bolt it together assembly" kind of purchase, but instead an honest to god bit of (at least minor) artistry I'm not complaining too much about the time.  After all, it's what vendors do....

can i borrow your bike ? lol :P

Anytime you need it.

Ok, here are the engraved and painted legs installed.  Flames with a Screamin' Eagle's head across the leg.  Forgive all the bugs.  Not yet been cleaned since got home from the little trip to the east coast.

A little closer in to get a better view of the eagle.  They look a bit better in person than in the photos.  The Adjure flush mount axle really helps finish off the package too.

FYI to anyone liking the Adjure. They run about $100 and are so easy to install a Caveman could do it. (sorry I couldn't resist, yes I know it's lame )

Thank you Don.  Though I really think your fender and wheel have better bling value than do the legs here.  Still have some chrome calipers to hang on it to get rid of the aluminum bricks as distraction.  But the front end of yours is pretty sweet.

Those lowers are way cool! I was looking at some other lowers options, but after seeing what sanjoy does I might have to rethink that. ( now all you need is that red in the grooves of your new A/C cover! :) :)_) john

I know John.  It's still a "project."  Hopefull this weekend will get it polished up.  Then will know if polishing is enough or if it needs to go to a chromer.  After one or the other seems satisfactory will then either try my hand at the model paints or find one of the local stripers and finish it up.

Fantastic there TLR.  Super - Super looking.  You guys just keep on spending those hard earned dollars and sharing here. Looks like I won't be able to ever retire, cause you keep showing me the things I really want to have that I did not even know existed.  Got to love having such good friends.  You know I am partial to the flames, and these legs look real good.   :huepfenjump3:  Also glad to hear I'm not the only one that has bugs on my bike.  I have to take my pretty red bike into the independant dealer tonight - need to change the oil and get another new rear tire.  I just can't figure this out!  I am checking my air pressure every time we ride and making sure that it is always right, but I don't get anywhere near the mileage that even Jamey does, and we pretty much always ride together.  I am sitting shy of 30,000 miles.
A record of my service visits and tire changes
By digging up this old thread of mine, I see this last tire I only got less than 5,000 miles.  Something is not adding up.
