I'm sorry, y'all know how lazy I am about reading an entire thread to glean the information I want

Thank you sir. I've got the Corbin Daul Tour on there now, but it's just crying for a solo saddle to uncover the rear fender graphics.  :2vrolijk_21:

It feels like I put in new dilithium crystals. Now she'll do warp 9.8. :huepfenlol2:

I took off the seat today for some wiring stuff and noticed that the seat bumpers compressed the paint on the rear fender where they contacted it. This was a concern as the paint hasn't totally cured out 100%. I've been told it may take quite a while since there is so much build, another concern of mine, and only the top layer (clear) is catalyzed while all of the other multiple layers are reduced, which means they have to dry instead of cure.

If I wasn't going to do another seat it wouldn't be a problem, but now if the bumper marks don't come up, when I put a solo on it, I'll have these four tell-tale bumper donuts compressed into the paint.

Damn custom work. Stock is so much easier.

Ask your painter what you can do to help the curing process along Chief. Seems to me there's a few tricks of the trade I've heard along the way, but I don't want to put out bad info so as I said, ask your painter

Number one is time, Number two is UV exposure. I put the bike out on the back slab all day yeterday and all day today. I also put a small heater blowing across the back fender which helped the donut lift out completely. I think it will just take time with all of the build that is there. I just hope it doesn't get mucked up while at CHL if it isn't cured by then.

I'll be setting it outside in the sun as often as possible.
