The Master was rebuilt and then replaced with the problem still present, the poor Friction Zone location.  They scratched their collective heads.

And now for something completely different .... a very small leak was found in the clutch line.  Not enough to reduce levels severly but enough to apparantly cause problems.  They report a much better friction zone location.

I hope this is the "smoking gun" of my problems.

Have they checked out the slave cylinder down in the trans?  That was the problem with mine.

They did, but now I don't recall as I was working at the time and not focused on it.

Jerry

Oh, one other thought.  Check your hydraulic fluid level and make sure it isn't over full.  Too much fluid can keep the clutch piston from returning completely, and the effect would be similar to riding the clutch in a car.

Thanks Jerry for this advise !  :drink:
You've saved my clutch !  :)
