New Lift
« on: March 12, 2008, 12:23:53 AM »

Just received my J & S lift. It is extremely stable and easy to use. I bought a Larin from Sam's club and have used it for the past few years and thought it was decent. No comparison whatsoever. Super stable. I can't believe I waited this long. ( I'm just a customer - not related in any way )

So a couple of observations here.

Did you see my thread on the thumb screw replacements for the lock bolts?

It looks like J&S changed their supplier again for the bottle jack, I wonder if this one is better.

I suggested to JIM (J of J&S) that the thumb screws should be included and that a pull handle would be really nice.
Is that a pull handle I see in the picture? How about a better picture of it.

And did you get the drain pan?
If not you should consider it. It is worth the extra money and J&S really should have recommend it to you.

Duane,
you need to put your pix of the Mcmaster "special" stop bolts up again, they are a must buy for anyone with the J&S jack! john

Another thing I noticed in the above pictures, it does not look like the jack is all the way up.
Something I found with mine is that it was most stable when up all the way and resting on the locks.
