2000 horsepower and tuner question
« on: July 14, 2010, 03:08:44 PM »

What kind of HP has anyone see out of a stock 2000 glide?  I have thunder header slip-ons and a KnN filter.  I saw 69 on the dyno.  What benefits will I see if I put a power comander or a HD tuner on it?

See results here for my stock, with the exception of Ness Big Sucker A/C, 2000 SERG, going from factory tune to custom map.  You should be looking at the same, or more, since you also have exhaust mods.

I noticed that mine has always run rich.  Are there different maps that you can download to your tuner?  I had a power comander on it a long time ago and wasn't very happy with it.

There are, but I've never done a canned map since better results are achieved with a custom dyno tune ... as long as you have access to a good tuner.

The Powercommander III USB is worlds better than the one you probably had a long time ago - it will write both cylinders individual fuel maps.
