Took a long meandering ride that for us was essential to the local Harley shop that sold to a new owner last month to sign up for their new loyalty program. Lots of changes, lots fewer employees & the ones that were still there were happy to be employed still. Lots & lots of bikes & heard they were selling some. This spring the weather has been outstanding, way better than usual. If things were normal am guessing they would be having a much, much better sales year. Biggest change was to combine the Service Dept. with the Parts Dept.
On the way home decided to take some little country lane roads I had not been on in a good while. Meandered up into Georgia with No Particular Place To Go in mind. Turned off on what used to be a nice little tree canopied curvy country road that intersects with another one just like it. Should have been about 20-30 miles of no traffic, farm houses with lots of trees & ponds & occasional tree canopies over meandering roads After about 2-3 miles of loose asphalt, teeth jarring pot holes that were hit while missing bigger potholes, and tree roots under asphalt, I changed my mind & at the first opportunity changed roads. South Jawjah roads appear to get repaired by a dart board method that must be decided by who got elected Road Commissioner in what area. Roads were still nice as to scenery but miserable as to riding. Ended up all good - a day riding is better than a day not riding.
