Windshield-Road Glide
« on: September 24, 2009, 03:57:10 AM »

I have tried a 14 inch Wind Vest, and the new 16 inch Klock Werk, still too much turbulence, any suggestions? A see some have used the Laminar Lip, Clearview, Cee Bailey, appreciate some help. Have issues with dry eyes and ringing in my ears after several hours of riding. Have the 09 RGSE.

I FIRST GOT THE CEE BAILEY 14 INCH LOOKS GREAT,WORKS GOOD.THEN I WAS GOING ON A LONG ROAD TRIP(BLUE RIDGE PKWAY) DID 1800 MILES IN 4 DAYS ONE OF THE BEST TRIPS OF MY LIFE. . . .GETING BACK TO THE WINDSHIELD,SO FOR THE TRIP I PICKED UP A CLEARVIEW STOCK HEIGHT.I THINK IT'S THE BEST,IT'S NEVER COMING OFF.
SO GOOD LUCK,

Luigi – like all other aftermarket products windshields are subject to individual likes and dislikes.  I have a Cee Bailey's 13 inch and I love it.  I rode to Georgia from Louisiana to attend the Georgia State HOG Rally last month and wasn't disappointed with its performance; rain or shine.  I ride with a Corbin solo seat so I'm about inch lower than my stock seat. See photo.  It's just my opinion but Cee Bailey is the way to go.

I have the Cee B 14 on mine, looks great but wind buffeting at the ears is un bearable.

I have the stock hight Clear View light tint on order now, should get it soon as they billed my card the 9th.  I hope it is better.

I seem to hear a consensus on the Clearview--would someone provide a website for information and ordering?

I have both, the Cee Bailey 14 and the Clearview GT stock-15- with recurve.
the CB works well around town, I'm actually using it this weekend to go to Maggie Valley, but for long trips, Clearview is best for me. I too, have a corbin Solo.

Clearview is the only one with a flat angle and that`s the reason why they do work better than all others .

I've had several windshields, I love my Cee Bailey's hands down.   I'm 5'9", stock seat, and run a 15" Euro, wouldn't trade it.

I've tried the Klocks as well and didn't like....I now have 2 Clearview's, a 9'' for around town and GT Medium for long distance, both dark tint, not only do they get the job done, they are thick and sturdy.

Luigi,

I finally went with and like very much the Cee Bailey 14" Dark Tint.  Thought it had good function and style.  Have a Clearview GT Small w/ recurve and light tint.  It was better for the wind.  I'd part with it if you're interested.  Almost new condition.

$.02:  Sounds like you need some better eye covering for the dry eyes... and maybe some ear plugs.  There are many articles recomending them even if you wear a full face helmet.   JMHO.  I always use foam plugs.  Can ride for hours listening to the stereo and no ear problems.

Greg, What lights are you using for the front turn signals?  And. what is that little chrome bulb at about the seven o'clock position below the lights, just above the crash bar?  Thank you

NV,

My front turn signals are the Kuryakyn LED's.  You replace the bulb and front cover.  They are so bright that sometimes, people pull over like they think I'm a LEO.  They come in Smoked:  #4825 (which I have) or Amber lens: #4836.

The chrome "bulb" is the top of the [urlhttp://www.lindbycustom.com/cart/home.php?cat=258]Lindby Highway bar.[/url]  Here is list of mods on the bike:  SERG AND CVO: VERY GOOD TO ME! NEXT?
