I had a 2001 Fatboy and a 2002 FLHRSEI before my SEEG.  Too Old, that's funny.  My friends gave me a hard time about being the old fart of the group.  All the guys I ride with are under 30 and I am 31.  Last week in Sturgis I let all my buddies go for a ride on it and they aren't laughing anymore.  Everyone of them was amazed at the ride, the power and how well it still handled corners compared to their bikes.  I am amazed at how much power this bike has over both my previous bikes.  In Sturgis I had to be careful coming out of turns getting on the gas, I kept breaking the rear tire loose in 1st and 2nd gear.   You definetly won't be disappointed in the SEEG.

I had a 1972 Sportster for 11 yrs. Then went to a 1983 R80RT BMW which I have 118 thousand on, it is  for sell if any one is interested.   Also had a 2001 Road King Classic which got totaled in a accident.  Really like my SEEG best bike Ive ever owned besides my BMW. [smiley=1syellow1.gif]

My "last bike" is actually still my current bike as I'm waiting for the SEEG.  Have kept it awhile just because I ended up liking it sooooo much and never saw anything I liked better (until seeing the SEEG--then I was in lust again).  So the bike that the SEEG will replace is a 2000 Road King Classic that has always done me very very well and has been a real trooper on long trips many many time.  Hat's off to an old friend !

Twolane, that is a great looking R.K,if you can say good bye to that bike then I guess I can say goodbye to my Fatboy.
Do you know when the red seeg begin shipping? Do you have any idea what exhaust system you will go with?

Thanks Vroom.  That Road King has always been a great ride too.  But it and I have talked it over and it understands that all things must change and it's ready for a new owner (with perhaps a smaller backside than mine).

I actually really lucked out compared to what I've read here and elsewhere on the upcoming red SEEG.  I'd been thinking about them for "awhile."  I really didnt' care for the teal/green/whatever color as I don't see those shades of the color spectrum right and to me those colors are more or less all shades of gray.  The yellow is just way way yellow (though I was surprised that I really kinda liked it).  But the red really took my eye.  Finally about three weeks ago I saw more pictures than just those that had been on the web site and got a chance to ride an 04 black/blue for a long Saturday afternoon.  After that I was hooked.

So I made one call to my local dealer.  They said 'yeah, we got one red one coming in and no one has spoken for it it yet.  You want it?"  I said, "yeah."  Gave them a deposit.  So with almost no effort and a late start I scored far more easily than it seems many have.  Guess I'm pretty lucky.  The dealer tells me that their word is the red bikes will start showing up in October.  What this is based on I honestly could not tell you.  But they seemed confident.  My particular bike is supposed to be scheduled such that it would be at the dealership in late October.  There's always a bit of give and take on that as you don't know when the shipper gets a full load to go their way.  But at least it's an estimate to live with for now.

As for exhaust I have been very very pleased with the White Bros E. Series and Samson dual pipes on my Road King and on a couple of other buddie's baggers.  The local dyno guy is pretty good at what he does and likes that as an exhaust setup for baggers also.  But just because I've had good luck with them on the TC88 doesn't mean they'd be as good on the 103.  That's a little more homework I need to try to get done somewhere if I can.

It's a gorgeous Sunday afternoon here right now.  Just got through with an oil change and a quick email check.  So I'm going for a ride.  Have a good day all.

Hi Guys/Gals. What did you ride before the SEEG and how does it compare?
I will be coming off a fatboy,How are your new bikes around town? On the Highway? How would the stock 103 compare to a stage one 88ci efi? Do you miss the wind on your face? Are the lowers too hot?Am I too young at 42 to drive such a bike?
I really like those SEEG and would like to hear your experiences just to keep me motivated on my 2005 SEEG deposit. Thanks in advance. [smiley=laugh.gif]

Hey 70_GTX,
Welcome to the site.
Got any pix of the old bikes you had to scan and post?
Mike

Yeah, and while you're scanning and posting, how about one or two of the GTX?  [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

I had 1 1984 FXR that I bought in 1992. Then I bought a new 1998 95th Anniversary Edition Heritage Springer. But the CVO is light years ahead of both.

As soon as I can get the pictures to my daughter's scanner, I will post them. I'm not the most computer fluent person around. I have enjoyed reading the posts. A lot of great information on this site.

Here's a picture of my GTX at the St. Louis Mopar Madness last fall. My first new car was a 70 GTX and looked just like this one. The original was an automatic on the floor, this one is an automatic on the column. It is far from original and I probably saved it from the crusher back in 89 when I found it. I gave $800 for it back then, so you can imagine the shape it was in. My wife didn't even want it titled in her name, it looked that bad.

Here's my 91 convertible. This model screams Harley to me. It was red and burgundy. I liked the floorboards, you didn't see many with them. This picture was taken in Denver. I rode it to the Rockies and back in 2000.
