I had a 90 Honda first, then a Harley 250 Sprint, and then this old Triumph hardtail. No pics of the first two.

Nope, It is a 1970 CB450.  All my buddies at the time were getting the Honda CB350.  I guess I just have always had a need to have one just a little bit bigger and a little bit faster!

My first New Motorcycle, pre HD days. It's a 1977 Yamaha RD 400. Vertical Twin 2-Stroke. $1400 New.

Of course I hot rodded the motor a lil, carved the seat out and put rear shifter pegs and clip-ons on it. Very fast bike for 390 lbs. It was a HD killer (up to 90 that is, nuthin left after that!) and faster than most anything but the 3 cyl Kawi 2-strokes at the time!!! This was just pre-big Jap bike days. The Honda 750 was about it then. At least for 22 year olds!

This one isn't mine. I have no pics and to this day I still regret selling that bike! Sold it for $500, but it was "very well seasoned" by then. Still wish I had it. Ya gotta pay 2-4 grand now for a nice one. Not worth that much to me for a lil nostalgia. But I LOVED THAT BIKE!!! :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3:

Very interesting!
I had a 500 Kawasaki. First thing I did was seized a piston. It was on then. Bored it to 587cc and put on K&N filters and Wirges expansion chambers.
It sounded wicked and ran fast, when I could keep the front wheel on the ground. Only thing that could stay close was a 750 triple!

The good ol days.

Not a picture of mine, but had one just like it...... 1979 Yamaha XS1100 SF Special. I put a 4 into 1 Kerker, and drag bars on it. Learned/did all my WFO riding w/this bike.... wheelies, burnouts you name it. Oh to be a young, dumb, fearless twenty something year old again...... naw, I got the memories that's enough. ;D

Not my picture, but my first was a Honda 55. Dad had his Triumph in the living room and I got the 55 to get running. About 10 at the time. Memory Lane.

Well, this isn't actually my first bike in the photo, but mine was just like it.  A blue '72 Honda CL100.  I saw this one at a swap meet at Barber Motor Sports Park a few years back and got a friend to snap a shot of me with it.
