Rumble Collection Floorboards and Pegs
« on: October 15, 2008, 05:07:39 PM »

After gettin all the parts together (some not supplied with the kits), I believe this is what is needed to install the passanger floorboards and move the passanger pegs up to rider highway pegs.

Thanks to you who posted the necessary parts!

That looks good. That is the way it should have come from the factory. Oh but wait Harley wouldnt make even more money off of us. My parts should be here by the end of the week to do mine.

Thanks for the comments!

The bright side: The parts I received are "top shelf". Very heavy, substantial, the fit is perfect... So many aftermarket parts from other manufact's ... well.... don't exactly fit, line up; and you are forced to "Make It Work".

These MOCO parts are nice, the chrome is perfect and everything fits as it should. The directions aren't always right and some times you don't get the right stuff...., but this time it all worked out!

You know, looking at the picture, I was reminded that HD sells the rear passenger foot board as a "kit."  Kit my @ss!!! I had to go back and get the springs and balls.

No it just wasn't that easy. Not a set in the way I would think.

Some of the boxes were  marked as "kits", but that only means more than one part and not necessarily all you need to install that.

I needed floorboard pans, floorboard inserts, floorboard mounting brackets, and then some small parts to put it together: steel balls, springs, and 4 pivot pins.

The short angle offsets for the highway pegs were complete, but that passanger stuff is all bought in pieces as far as I can tell. It's all good stuff though no complaints there.

I believe this all started on your thread Mike, thanks I am very happy with the results.

Roady, I'll get you those in the am, going to HD.  I'll get the number for you.  I'm going to try to get the Rumble passenger floor boards.  Also the wife can't live with  the seat on the longer rides, which she never complains about riding.  So, I'm going to way out my options.

This is basically matching up a bunch of parts, the Rumble Collection part is the floorboard inserts. You will also need the Pans,(there are several to choose from) that's what the floorboards fit down into. Then, the pans attach to the brackets that mount to the frame. In order to attach the pans to the mount brackets you will need the pivot pins, springs, and balls.

Here's the Rumble inserts:

The following are the part numbers for the swept wing (passenger) rumble collection footboard inserts:
51502-09
51510-09
right side/left side...I don't know which is right/left though.
MSRP - $109.09 each

Let's start over, got all the boxes out:

Adjustable Highway Peg Mounting Kit- Short Angled                          50830-07
Assy Rumble Footboard, Psngr        (insert)                                     51510-09
Assy Rumble Footboard, Psngr        (insert)                                     51502-09
Kit, Passenger Footboard               (pans)                                      50357-04
Chrome Footboard Brackets            (pan mount to frame)                  53070-00

Service parts not included in kits above:
Pivot Pin (4) needed   50933-86
Ball (2) needed          8860
Spring (2) needed      33085-74

And the FLTRSE service manual is:   99600-09

As the service parts are small I picked up an extra of each, all my stuff seems to get lost or launch into a dimension never to be found again.

Plz double check all listed parts as I have done my best to replicate what I have used in my particular application.

It's a BAD BOY Nut,

You can't imagine how it corners at 20-30mph over with that fairing mounted to the frame    8)

It's tough enough at 3000-4500 RPM, makes for some quick shifting but.... you run highway mostly in 5th and then there is all that overage when you rip it up to 4500 and shift to 6th. It's gonna take a bolt in cam and some adjustables but I believe that an extension of that power band to 5500 is doable. I am chewin on it as a winter project.

Those allow the board to mount and pivot on the adjustable bracket. You still need these parts, unless they came with your bracket.

As I said, I ordered the same parts with the exception of the adjustable footboard mounts and I did not have to order the pivot pins, balls or springs separately. Honestly, I don't remember what box they came in but I think the pivot pins, balls and springs were packaged with the adjustable footboard mount brackets.

Might just be lack of comparison or optical illusion somehow.  But is that brake pedal pad larger than the common pads we've used for years.  Depending on your air cleaner a pad that hung outboard a little farther could be a good thing.

Interesting.  Another little research project.  After current pads start showing a bit more wear something to keep in mind.

Thanks, Iglide for the Rumble #'s !
I was thinking I would have until the beginning of the year for the footboards
I recently made a 2200 mile loop to southern Arizona and before my return home I stole the stock pegs from the back with the stationary Billet mounts ( I will post updated photos as soon as I clean her up ) which made for a much more enjoyable tour.

Anyone have the p/n's for the rider inserts, brake pedal, grips, and gear shift pegs??? Based on the passenger inserts these are cheaper than the Stealth collection that i need to replace.

Does anyone have the part number for just the pegs for our bikes. The rider floorboards are great, but I am interested in just adding matching highway pegs.

I checked with a dealer here in No. Cal and could not get any info other than we will have to order them in separate pieces for now until HD releases the Rumble collection to be purchased.
Let me know if you do get a part # as I also want to mount the peg for the pass.
Trying to keep it as stock as possible.

Iglide,

Thanks for posting the part numbers for the Pivot Pin, Ball and Spring.  I just got my "kit" pieces in tonight (bracket, pan and ironside inserts) and was tooling along getting ready to assemble and install and discovered that those pieces weren't there.  So I'm going "WTF!?!?!", thinking that I had somehow dropped them / lost them while unboxing things.  Fortunately I opened everything in a very pristine area so it was pretty easy to figure that something was missing and not lost.  So... I come in and do a little search on CVOHarley.com to figure out what I need and Voila!!!, there it is...

That saved me what I imagine would have been a GRAND headache...  'Preciate it...  Once I get everything installed on the 'ol FLHRSE4 I'll post some pix for the heck of it...

One would think by now we could by the matching peg for the CVO RG....

No one wants one as a hwy peg that does not match

Hey IGLIDE,

What are the highway peg mounting brackets you used.  That is exactly what I wanted to do with my passenger pegs but I don't like my present mounting hardware.  Yours look really slick.

Planning to do exactly what your guys did, which are to order a new floorboard and use the passenger peg as highway peg but one question comes in to mind because I also ordered the lower (fairing).........now I'm a bit worry whether the highway peg can fit right there if I have the lower.  Any of you know?  Thanks.

You'll be find with highway pegs and factory lowers - plenty of room to fit. You'll see many photo's on this forum showing just that.

everyone here is so helpful.  eye have been considering Passenger Floorboards for my 2011 FLHXSE2 after buying it 2 years ago.  the Gentleman who used the H-D Part #: 50768-07, Chrome Adjustable Floorboard Brackets look closer to the application on the CVO Ultra Classics.  if my memory is correct, "360 degree" should be included in part description nomenclature :)

...M wondering if it is possible to squeeze some "Saddle Bag Guards" on my FLHXSE2 like on the CVO Ultras???

Looks great.  I thought that the rumble collection was not available yet.  I have looked at HD.com and did a search here.  what gives and can you supply the part numbers for them.  Thanks, Ted

The Rumble pegs and inserts can be found in the MoCo parts books for the CVO models. Just have a parts guy at the dealer look them up for you.

I saved some coin by taking the Swept Wing passenger assemblies off my old FLHTC and then just changing the inserts. With the black frame on mine the black mounting brackets look fine.

Buy the balls and springs for a 05 SEEG that way they are the hard plastic ( the balls ) and rust won't run out between the peg and bracket. I have used them on a couple bikes, no problems.

I found a set of passenger inerts and chrome brackets on here without the pans.   I got a set of swept pans with the pins, springs and plastic balls.   Went on real easy today and look great.  :2vrolijk_21:
