Yeah, maybe it's the air here or something. Just thought I would throw it out there.  :P

Yea, the air down there is thicker...either with Love Bugs or Humugity  ;)

A good compromise is to remove the adjustable vents.
Even when fully open they still block a lot of air flow.

You can remove and re-install the adjustable vents pretty easily once you get familiar with the mounting sytem.
I pulled mine out of my 2010 and really liked it.

Just one man's opinion .....
I just did the same thing. They seem to have a way of closing or part way while riding.

Are the speaker grills fading on both sides, or predominately on the right where the engine heat is more intense?

thats a damn good question...

Or both!!  :drink:

Love Bugs suck the most, and are hell to get off after a full day's ride.  What are the worst times of year for them?  We will be coming down to Boca at some point in the next year or so, and I'd just as soon miss that joy... :jack:

Yea, I remember going to Walley World in Orlando back in the early 80's in a brand new Ford pickup...in September...they were so bad that I had to stop and buy one of those screen things to put on the front of the truck.  It still took me a day to get the ones off that had already gotten on my brand new truck... >:(

Good to know May is the other month...I'll avoid those months if possible.  Damn things are awful little creatures to the paint...

TC.  If you come to Boca let me know.   I live here and I'd love to meet up.  We had lots of love bugs here this may.    Seems a little better already.   Do they wear a calendar? ???  September is next when they arrive again.   Can hardly wait.  I took my lowers off when I had my motor done,,,  cams, valves etc.   John Sachs told me the best thing for my motor was to keep the lowers far away from it.   Restricts air flow and it does cool things down around me and the motor.  I've had them off now for almost two years and don't ever miss them.  Just my .02 there.   :)

Love bugs are gone now, came early this year. I drive 150 + miles day in Central Florida and have not seen one for over a week. But they will be back in August or September.

OK Stu, I see in this thread that you have dispensed with the lowers.....that's why you are not having heat issues with the B & B.  I just hate to give up my lowers...tried running w/o them one summer and it was better, but put em back on as soon as I could.  To me they just complete the 'look' of the SEEG....just like I think the batwing fairing calls out for the running lights.  jmho.  spyder

True, it does complete the look.  But remember it's hot here where I live and need all the help I can get.  ::) I guess the priority here is the heat. Just sayin,,,, :P

Dang....not that much hotter where you are.....it was a hundred here yesterday and we had no ocean breeze to help.  You walk outside and gulp for air.....brutal.  I'm a global warming believer now.  :sunny:  spyder

Will do...the wife's brother lives there, so we plan a visit within the next year.  Would like to make it a "tour" of FL, all the way to Key West, then back up the East Coast/Panhandle back into Alabama.  We'll see...

Hottern' Hell here too, Spyd...98 yesterday, and 99 today.  The humidity is awful too...too hot to even ride.  Temps this time of year here are supposed to be in the mid 80's...this sucks.  The older I get, the more temperature extremes seem to bother me, especially the heat.  I can always put on more clothes/layers for cool weather riding, but at 99 degrees, it just sucks the energy right out of me.
