Iquiring minds want to know, did you pay msrp for your bike? When and where did you take delivery?

My story; My local dealer always sells for about 5k over msrp on the cvo's (all of them).
Last year my friend bought an 04 SEEG for 34,995. When the 05 SEEG's came out they were at $37,995. I tried and tried to talk them down and was able to get it down to the $34,995 price. They had people lined up willing to pay so I took it. This was in October of 04. I got the bike I wanted and paid the premium.

Add-ons (in deal) = $1,946.16 (backrest, tour pack, docking kit and some chrome)
Extended Sevice = $1,498.00
Dealer Prep = $250.00
Freight = $400
Documents = $50.00
Gap Insurance = $395.00

TOTAL OUT THE DOOR = $33,134.16

I was told it was insurance that would pay the difference in your claim if bike was stolen totaled Etc...

Wow, that's almost what some are paying for a years insurance just for a supplemental insurance.

The Gap insurance also pays off the loan should I kack. Then the wife is free and clear (in more ways than one)! [smiley=oops.gif]

I paid MSRP at H-D of Sacramento. I wanted to make sure I got one so I put my name on several area dealers lists. All but one were selling at msrp. This was just after they were introduced...Jun/July of 04. Got it on Oct. 1. [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

MSRP. Picked up Jan 29 '04. I put my name on their list at The Harley Store in Baltimore when I saw a B&B on a display stand at the new models unveiling September '03.

MSRP + $275.00 for shipping + $200 for setup. That was the deal I agreed to but they bumped the price $500 when the bike came in. The Sales Manager stated the owner insisted on another $500. They also gave me $15000 trade on my wifes '03 Heritage. When I agreed to the additional $500 the Sales Manager said, of course, we get your extended warranty on the Heritage. I said no, I get it. I had planned on leaving it with the bike, but when they bumped the price $500 I filled out the paperwork for the refund. The dealer had to write me a check for $1085. Sweet!

Out the door I think the total was $29,234. They gave me $16,000 trade in on my 03 Fatboy. That includes a 5 year warranty.

$16,995 + tx,lic. etc.....$18,034 total.

for a 6 year-old CVO with 3530 on the clock. V&H straight shots already on it. Nothing needs be done. Although my friends are telling me a lay-down plate bracket and new directionals would look nice. I think I'll hold off for a while.

Works out to less than 500 miles a year. I've already dropped 1/4 of that in two rides.

..I ain't complaining. I got what I wanted.

I notice there are 5 who voted below msrp. How in the world did you get one below msrp? I can't imagine getting a SEEG for less than msrp. Talk about a good deal. Maybe the 5 were different bikes.

Paid MSRP, $150 doc & title, $270 freight. Dealer running promotion and I draw a poker chip 40% off all additional store purchase's that day. So I spent another $1600 on items for the wife's bike! Then they drew my name in a raffle and I won a $25 gift certificate. My best day ever at a Harley shop!

My seventh bike purchase in 9 years, first at this dealer and I think I'll keep going back! [smiley=beerchug.gif]

They took me to the cleaners on my trade-in.
FLHRCI 2003 silver/black with lots extras.. $15,000.00.
Dealer was just putting seeg2 on the floor when I was walking in.
Told Judy(sales person) to take it off the floor I will buy the bike.
So they got me on my trade-in.

I payed $1500.00 over,1000 mile check up,setup ,ect.They gave me 20% off everything ,parts and labor.I did not get it untill late Aug. 2004 [seeg 2004 orange and black]One of the last one's left at A dealer.They were selling on E-bay at the time for around $31,500.00 .

I got a steal at 16,900, with 4400 miles. The same week I saw the same bike , same mileage for 24,500 locally. I had to drive 300 miles to pick mine up.
Since I have seen them as high as 36,000 unbelievable.
