Iquiring minds want to know, did you pay msrp for your bike? When and where did you take delivery?

My story; My local dealer always sells for about 5k over msrp on the cvo's (all of them).
Last year my friend bought an 04 SEEG for 34,995. When the 05 SEEG's came out they were at $37,995. I tried and tried to talk them down and was able to get it down to the $34,995 price. They had people lined up willing to pay so I took it. This was in October of 04. I got the bike I wanted and paid the premium.

My 04 SEEG O/B was $28,595.00 [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

Add-ons (in deal) = $1,946.16 (backrest, tour pack, docking kit  and some chrome)
Extended Sevice  = $1,498.00
Dealer Prep = $250.00
Freight = $400
Documents = $50.00
Gap Insurance = $395.00

TOTAL OUT THE DOOR = $33,134.16

I was told it was insurance that would pay the difference in your claim if bike was stolen totaled Etc...

Wow, that's almost what some are paying for a years insurance just for a supplemental insurance.

The Gap insurance also pays off the loan should I kack.  Then the wife is free and clear (in more ways than one)!  [smiley=oops.gif]

I paid MSRP at H-D of Sacramento. I wanted to make sure I got one so I put my name on several area dealers lists. All but one were selling at msrp. This was just after they were introduced...Jun/July of 04. Got it on Oct. 1. [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

In Dec 04, I paid MSRP, but had to drive two hours to pick up the bike.

MSRP.  Picked up Jan 29 '04. I put my name on their list at The Harley Store in Baltimore  when I saw a B&B on a display stand at the new models unveiling September '03.

 I have been thinking about purchasing a SEEG, but haven't totally committed. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]  My Dealer has a Yellow one coming in June.  Priced it for $30,515.00.  Then I could be a, For Real CVO Member!! [smiley=1syellow1.gif]  Think of that!!  Pretty expensive iniation fee.  As kng103 put it though, that's "play money" compared to what that last "WESTERN" I pulled cost! $29,995 no frieght no prep    $33,000  with se pipes, stage one, 8:3/4 in tips, smoke windshield, crome billet pegs, chrome hihgway mount installed
