Hi! I'm Marie. Riding since 2004. Still scared to really lean hard in the turns. Had a 98 Sportster and finally got my wonderful Springer.

Took the beginners bike course in 2004 and will be taking a refresher Rider's Edge class this week and next weekend. Elementary, but the advanced course isn't available yet, so I am just brushing up on the safety stuff again.

This bike is easier to ride than the sportster. I love the way it just jumps off the line. No time to wobble!

Marie, congratulations on the Springer and welcome to the forum from Western NY. I need to show this thread to my wife who has a permit and has been on the road for about 15 minutes total so far trying to understand how to work her Sportster 883 we got used last month. She's signed up for the class in June and we'll work on some handling skills between now and then.

Welcome Marie, I feel the same way on turns I have taken the riders edge and ride like a pro class
enjoy yoour new bike. I ride a fat boy and a V-rod I think turn are easier on the v-rod but it has no wind shield so I ride the fat boy most of the time.
