30000 miles on a 07 Serk without any problem so far.
The only part what shows a reasonable wear are the tires.  ;D

roundincircles, I have an 09 and have had a couple of minor things fixed. New front wheel bearings and compensator at 17K all under warranty. Regarding the lifters and cam tensioner, I am going to consider those items a maintaince issue and change lifters out at no more than 25K and while in there check the cam tensioners and if they look suspect they will also be replaced. If anyone thinks I should do this at 20K let me know. As for now all is fine with Fulsac stage one kit, HD/K&N open air filter, stock no cat header and 1.75 Fulsac baffles. CAHDBIKER

Hi Guys and Girls. I am new to Harley and have a CVO RK on order with a due date of May 2013......long wait, ahhhhhhhhh

Anyway there seems to be a lot of critical comments about the 110 heads warping and leaking oil. Additionally the timing chain seems to attract big criticism as it fails at 15,000 miles blah, blah.

Has the 110 engine been modified to eliminate these issues?

What is the view out in Harley World, you all must be riding bikes with exchange engines?

Should I just get the smaller and standard engine........I have a torque addiction by the way.

Any help appreciated

Buy it and ride it. If Torque makes you smile, you have made the right choice.

That's my plan. :2vrolijk_21: 20 to 25k seems to be the number that I have in mind for tappet and tensioner inspection and maint. H-D has out their new performance lifters or Fuelings seem to have good results.

I was looking through some Jim's instructions and it states to inspect and/or replace the lifters at 5k intervals!
