Best tip I can give?    Call your dealer..  Let them do it... That is one miserable tedious thing to to.  :nixweiss:

I installed my 12" Yafee's myself. The pointed turn on the Yafee's were The Devil. Yours should not be nearly, nearly as tough to get the wires through.

** Get a nice, little regular screw driver to get the pins out of the connectors. Basically you need them to push the little lock apart.

** Check the manual on how to properly disconnect the battery. If not you'll have your alarm going off. Mine would not shut up even with the battery disconnected.

** When you remove the ignition set DO NOT TURN IT. If you do there is a YouTube video with a guy who made a tool to fix it. Otherwise HD has the tool for sale.

** Not sure if you need to extend your wires. If so, be sure to offset the splices!

** Take your time! There's nothing really difficult installing your bars. I ended up using my wife's dish soap to get the wires to slide. But then again I was doing the pointed Yafee's.

** Take pictures through so you can see later how some of the things go back together. (Can you say connectors?)

Good Luck!

Not true, I simply took the bolts by the front turn signals out and tilted the whole fairing forward. Never touched the radio left it all alone.

Wish I had thought of that...  :-\

Good advice so far. Tilting the fairing is the way to go. Be careful when you get it forward. It can touch the fork leg chrome. Once you get it forward get some painters tape and tape the fork legs where it will rest. Detailed pictures are your friend!
