They only ever put a cartridge in one leg of the forks, never both.  That's like having one leg in a butt kicking contest...doesn't work out too well.

Summer pavement "buckles" are rampant around here.  My '01 (FLTRSEI2) with Progressive Mono tubes and Biker's Choice (the cheap Progressives) rear shocks rides so much better than my 11 FLTRUSE it's almost laughable.  Don't much matter how much, or little, air is in the system.

My 63 yr old spine and arse NEEDS the '01.  That new bike needs a break until most of these "chops" are fixed!!

I thought I would bring this topic back to the top.  Has anyone tried out the Premium Ride Double Cartridge Fork Kit from HD?  If so, please post your thoughts.

When the rest of the parts come in for my wifes new street glide, (paint matched inner fairing, Chrome front end, rotors and Ipod kit) I will be adding the premium ride double cartidge fork kit also.  I hope it is as nice as the progressive mono tubes I put in my 09 SERG.  I will also be adding either the premium ride gas shocks from my 12 CVO road glide or the progressive 940s to her street glide.

Seems if the price point is the issue for the HD version, I'd go with the Progressive setup as they are true and tested by many on this site.

I, too had the urge for Traxxion Dyn, but couldnt justify in my head, but am very very satisfied with the Progressive monotubes and the 940 touring shocks for rear.

Just my $.02.

Had the mono tubes in my 09 SERG, they were very good.  Would have used them in the wife's street glide but I am have the front end chromed, and such prior to delivery so installing the HD twin cartridge is free as the legs are apart any way.  On top of that seeing they are delivered with the bike, it is part of the two year warranty coverage.  I will know also know first hand how they compare with the mono tubes

back in the wind with this new system and it is a significant. improvement .. :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:As others have stated , it really gives you a feel for the front end and not the jarring ya got with the OEM..slow roll handling is improved , as is turns and such.. I am not a test track rider by no means , but Im thinkin its worth the money ..Jus like to say that I would still like to ride somethin with Traxion Dynamics on it to see the difference another 800 would make ... All in all ,, I am totally happy with the mod ..

There will be disagreements I'm sure,  but my opinion is the traction Traxion  is not worth the $1200+ cost.

Phase one is complete, new sneakers front and back.  I put the ME880's front and rear, jumped on the bike today and like the feel (albeit a little hard......but with 800lbs bike and 250lbs me....holds the road just fine).  Now phase two, new speakers in the fairing, and a new front end.  Does anyone know if this HD set up is available to 2005 models?? I'd like to have choices other than the traxion dyn stuff that is WAY too expensive.  BTW, I'm thinking Polk audio for the speakers....any thoughts???

on road kings you actually have all kinds of front end options - cartriges, springs, lowers, tubes, inverted forks

basically the only option i "think" you cant actually use is a springer

its all what you want and how much cake you want to spend  :P

Finally installed the premium suspension, and I am loving it.
