Members bikes that ring our chimes!
« on: July 12, 2007, 06:43:45 PM »

OK

Was riding today and thinking about all the fine equipment on this site.
We all work with our bikes to make them to be what we want them to be.
As I was riding I started thinking "Well I really like this bike and I am impressed with that bike".
So to offer some insight to who's machine we are impressed with I thought we could have a list of three bikes from this site that impresses the hell out of us. NO please don't list your own but give a reason about the bike you list that floats your boat or rings your chime. After those three then add an "honorable mention" bike that for whatever reason impresses you!

Here's mine,

1) TCnBham's Ultra,  This bike has it all. Wheels, shocks, front end, brakes and lots of bling and most important it's     a driver. No trailer queens in Terry's garage!

2) Grovers Pumkin,  Skip the bling, skip the seat, this bike makes power. How can anyone argue with that?

3) Hubbards Maude, Hubbard hasn't been on here much lately but to all the newbies, in a kingdom there always has to be a king. Until Maude is dethroned, she is still the king of the pack!

Honorable mention
TwoLanes SEEG, On a site with almost 4000 members the mere mention of the red bike can only mean one. It has bling, it has tunes, it has power (kinda) and it is always on the cutting edge of whats new. That's one fine machine

Here's my list.
Tell me whose bike rings that bell.
We all work hard to get our bikes the way we want them. Let us know whose bike you like!

First:  TCnBham's SEUC, for all the reasons mentioned above and more.  That is the most hooked up for comfort bike I've ever ridden.
Second:  Twolanerider's SEEG!  What a BLINGIN' machine.  WOW!
Third:  Displacing Air's SEUC!  First.........it is a Watermelon, and I love Watermelon's.  Second....it has all the right perfromance stuff......and a green air filter.  The only downside is, it is down right now.

HM:  Scooterhair's SERG!  Very nice machine.  Well maintained for a six year old bike, and it will lift the front tire in third gear.  Gotta love that matching Neosho trailer too.  Hobo's SERG is a twin, but his trailer is still being painted.

I've been on the site for 18 months as a lurker/member and IMHO I would agree with Silver-Black. I've read about and seen pictures of Grovers Pumpkin and Old Maudie, they are just way cool, I can't wait to see them in person some day. The one bike I have seen that I think would rate in the top three would be--- : :cherry: you guessed it--2Ln. I hope I didn't offend anyone. :o

I also would have a difficult time narrowing it down to 3 but Twolane's  :cherry: is without a doubt number one of the bikes I've seen in person and 103tHunDer's is not too far behind. Of the bikes I've only seen in pictures, I thought Big Brian's 03 SERK was beautiful but I think it's history. JMHO :nixweiss:

You know they won't probably be FD's! ::)

1. Q's SERK! Awesome bike, what can I say.
2. Have only seen pictures, but Brian's Elvis. Again, what can I say, it speaks for itself.
3. Of course, every '07 SERK! Period!
4. Every freakin' CVO bike with over 120HP! Even FD's! ;) It don't matter to me what it is. If it's fast and looks & runs great, it's tied with all the others that meet this requirement! This includes a few I know of and probably many more I don't. Harry, Rhino, Grover, Hubbard, Otis, Pete_4854,....... Sorry if I didn't mention your name here, but I mean everyone in this catagory!

Honorable mention: Chip's Frontier. It can't be listed above because it's not officially an HD CVO. The other reason for me is it's a Softail type bike, which I'm not a big fan of. But that bike does look awesome and is very fast (from what I hear ;)). And also from what I hear, Nancy's Dyna ain't no slouch either!

That's my take on things gang. And it doesn't really matter much. I love HD's and love CVO's even more. So everyone on this site is a winner in this!

I was asked not to mention it, but ya'll really know what my overall favorite is, don't you? ::) ::) ::)

That's why I didn't ask which one is everyones favorite.
That's a hard one unless your Hoist.
My list consisted of bikes that impress me.
They may not be the fastest but I look at them and think,
"Someday I'm going to have that on mine"

There are for me a lot of "honorable mentions" that I wanted to mention but if I compiled a list then I would have to update in an hour or so!

I am still kinda newbee to this site...I love learning and contributing what little I can, but I would like to second the proposal of posting pictures.  I hear about a lot of the bikes but I am not sure if I have seen them or just have CRS disease.  I also get them cornfused when I see them.  A little help pls I love the bikes that I see but even if they are in the avatars they are a bit hard to see.

Thanx,
Seegarz

There's just too many great rides out there to pick just three or four.  2Lane's, Pete's, JR's Banana, TCnBahm's, Grover's, d00d's, etc., etc.  I like them all...there isn't a ride here that doesn't impress me or give me an idea of "I need to put that on mine."

Sorry Chip, I'm going to go over my limit here.

In no particular order:

Terry's Ultra
Don's Red Bike
Ceej's Pumpkin
Big Daddy 1569's SERK

Honorable mentions to BB's Elvis, Chip's Frontier, and anyone with a SERK3 with matching hard bags.

This kinda sounds like we are putting together a list of bikes for the first annual 2008 CVO Calendar!   :bananarock: :apple:

Several that I've saw that would top the list.........definately Grover's.  He's set a bar that others have tried to keep catch up to.  JR in Memphis has a very nice bananna and hd-dude has a very nice cherry that both get a lot of attention.

First, thanks for the compliments on my scoot...makes me proud.

To pick three is difficult at best, as they are all so special in their own way, but:

1) Twolanes Red Bike...it's got it all, so what more needs to be said...
2) Grover's Pumkin...nothing else like it I've ever seen, and it's got the go to go along with the show!
3) Spiderman's SERK...there's only one Elvis, and there's definitely only one B B

HM...even though it's not a HD CVO, it's definitely a Custom Vehicle that you will not see anywhere else....Chip's Frontier

There are so many others that have inspired me to make some attempt at making my bike as classy as it can be...I get ideas from every bike I see when I've met members from this site.

Well like everyone else said in no particular order, here we go.
 1.   BB's 03 Elvis (Rides like it looks, Swweeeeeettttttt)
 2.   Grover's Pumpkin( I love that bike, show and go)
 3.   Iselbulls 05 Cherry Bomb( I just like the look, Don and Mark are the reason I went with the larger wheels)
 4.   Terry's Ultra ( just look at it,need I say anymore)
 5. Special Ed's Vrod   I don't see that many and he has the cleaning and detailing OCD like myself(That scoot shines)
I love all CVO's and it is difficult to pick out only 4 but these are the ones that popped right into my head. i hope I didn't offend anyone by not mentioning them but it is what it is.  Later,Q

I think it's a little better then holding it's own. ;)

He's how they line up for me:

1)Terry's Ultra: Everybody has already hit on the high points, it is simply just a beautiful bike. With looks and ride.
2)Q's SERK: Awesome color/graphics, Bling, always spotless, again, just a beautiful bike.
3)Puzzled, Road Glide: Great color, paint/graphics, wheels and rare.
4) Any 05’ VRSCSE in Two tone Cherry. (Even with the skinny rear tire)
5) SkyCUSE2 love the color and the setup, just looks so sweeeeet!!

There isn’t anybody’s bike on this site that I don’t like something about. From Chips Frontier, which he agreed to sell to me for only $9.5K plus $40K shipping, to the yet to be seen Walt’s SE Trike, they all have something above the norm and are all unique in there own way.

Hats off to everybody!

I've been off the forum for a while and just stumbled across this thread. Good topic Chip!

I was fortunate enough to be at both the cvo gatherings last year to meet the special members of this forum and look at all the fabulous iron that brings us all together.

It was very interesting to see all the modifications and personalizing everyone has done to their pride & joy. Some of us have made mods to fix the MoCo's short comings. Others went for creature comfort, safety & reliability for their long journeys across the country. Then some went for the wow affect and pimped out their ride to express their personality. Some kept their ride in stock form for it's limited edition value or for a future trade.

The way I look at it, if your ride puts a smile on your face and a feeling of pride in your soul, you've succeeded. And that's all that matters.

That being said, I can name about twenty scoots that come to mind right now. But Chip asked us to name three and an honorable mention, so here's mine off the top of my head.

1) Otis's Black Road Glide- The paint is amazingly flawless for it's year and with the checkered flag front fender and "stock" motor it makes a bold statement that it's a winner!

2) Sorry, Two way tie  :huepfenlol2:...

Twolane's red bike- Too much to list. All I can say is it's a spoiled brat and very well deserving.

Terry's Black Crimson Ultra- Again too much to list. Just a pure classy beauty. Would be perfect wearing a tux and riding down fifth avenue.

3) Bigdaddy's Grape Ape Hangin' Road King- Beautiful paint and a perfect blend of personality with an attitude. A real looker!

My honorable mention goes out to a non CVO. But it is a CCVO.
Chips Custom Vehicle Obsession

The Silver-Black Frontier- A true show stopping, very limited, ground pounding piece of art! From it's raked out front end to it's enormous rear tire this bike must be seen in person to appreciate it's beauty and performance. Truly amazing to say the least. Silky smooth looks and now with 140hp/141tq it's gotta be lightening fast. Truly a one of a kind!

Those are the bikes I've seen in person.

One of the best bikes in my opinion that I haven't seen in person is Spiderman's Elvis. I've had the pleasure to see his bags and seat at Alligator Bob's. Astonishing one of a kind art work and craftsmanship. That, along with it being a 100th anniversary CVO and with Brian's personal touches it's a true treasure!

I'd also like to thank those of you that commented on my Dagger Bagger. It makes me very proud to be included in your thoughts. Thank You.

Take care,

Grover

Had missed this thread until was pointed at it a moment ago.  Neat thread.  To all those that liked the red bike; thanks very much.  I see it all the time so I supposed I take it for granted.  Seeing that others appreciate the effort is nice.

In all honesty, however, it's not in my own top three for that combined measure that makes so many of the machines here over the top.

For SEEG's my pick would be Grover's.  Of those I've seen it simply sets the bar.  A level of detail, bling and performance all in one package I've not seen duplicated on any other.  I'd love to see Hogasm's now with all he's done to it since I saw it lost.  It's got to be a highline now too.

My favorite SEUC so far would have to be Terry's.  And I'm not at all a big fan of the paint schemes for that year.  But TC's just blows me away for the care, attention to detail, thoroughness and the scope of the changes he's made.

My favorite SERK would have to be any Candy Brandy bike if we actually had a really active participant among the friends.  I just go weak in the knees for that paint.  For real rather than phantom SERK's the one that grabs me is Elvis.  Q's is a close close close second.  I love the way that bike turned out with the wheels and other changes in the last year or so.  But Elvis would squeak by as my SERK first choice.

My favorite SERG is Otis.  It's just beautiful.  I'm a sucker for those colors.  But it runs great, looks great and you know it's adored by its owner.

Those are all touring models.  But those are what I pay the most attention to.  Picking an honorable mention from among the others, however, my next in line would be Buffy's bike.  I love those red bikes too.  And the rest of his changes and additions all look like they were just there from day one.  A really sweet machine.

Great thread Chip.  Thanks very much.  Lots of fun to think about all of them.

S
  /
    B

Thanks there Q!
Now 2 1/2 years later I thought I would toss out my impressions of some of the fine machines on this site.

1)  WTS and his 195 HP SERG. How can you argue with 195 HP from a 09 SERG? (answer, you can't)

2)  JCZ, how does he upgrade from his 04 SEEG? It's easy for JC, buy a 2010 SESG in blue and transform it into an awesome machine.

3)  TwoLaneRider and his 2.5 RED MACHINES!
Here's my quote from my original post in this thread,
Quote
TwoLanes SEEG, On a site with almost 4000 members the mere mention of the red bike can only mean one. It has bling, it has tunes, it has power (kinda) and it is   always on the cutting edge of whats new. That's one fine machine
And now with over 11K members when Red bikes are mentioned, they could only be Don's.

Honorable mention,
The "Mysterious Q!" and his beautiful 02 SERK!  He raised the bar and has to be wondering when everyone is going to catch up.
Mrs. We's beautiful 05 SEEG. She can ride that bike all over the country and everyone will say. That has to be Mrs. We's SEEG!
So there's my list.
Tell us whose bike impresses you and why!

Just read a PM that thankfully pointed this thread out again.  It's a fun chat.

Just quickly scanned the entire thing again.  Thing I'm most impressed about right now is that most of the bikes well mentioned in the chat are still in the hands of the guys that made them.  Not all of course.  Three years or so is a long time.  And at least a couple went away for reasons not of the owner's choice.  But most have been well done and well appreciated enough they're still right at home in their own OE garage.

I was feeling a little nostalgic and thought it might be good for newer members to see what some of us "veterans" to the site thought of some of our favorites a few years ago and spawn some new faves.
