Ok, maybe I'm missing something, but there's a slight bell flare at the end of each pipe - so how do get the flanges off? Also, Fullsac's description for the pipe lists "CNC-machined billet flanges" which I would assume to be new mounting flanges.
I'm great with reusing the stocks, but how do you get them off and onto the other pipes? I apologize in advance if that's a stupid question that I should clearly see.
They can be a bit a of a bear to get off, but they do come off. Kind of bend and twist with a pair of pliers - starting at one end.
Grab one end of the "C" and get it up around the pipe flange and walk it around and pull it off.
Regards,
Mark
P.S. If you don't mess up the gaskets getting the pipes off, I recommend leaving them in there. Installing the new ones is a bear, too.
I had a heck of a time (on my first install) getting the gasket to seat flush. They make a tool, but I wasn't gonna' invest for one install.
When I did my brother's bike, we just left the originals in. They were basically brand new anyway.
