It was on the local news complete with film. Small old style 12 x 50 trailer. No way there was more than one bathroom

He was probably just sliding pancakes and pizza under the door....

The whole thing is just insane, and pitiful at the same time. I watched some show on TV a few months ago that showed a woman who was so fat, and had not moved in so long, she had grown to the couch. She ended up dieing in the hospital when they removed the couch cushions from her a$$, legs, and back. She weighed about 800 lbs...had a husband who just kept on feeding her and letting her sit in her own waste. Bet that one was pleasant for the EMT guys who had to get her out of the house. Some people just don't need to be in the gene pool...

I've been on calls before that we've had to dismantle the house to get somebody out because they haven't been out of the house in years. Very unpleasant experience for all parties involved.

From what I understand from a bit more reading... For the majority of that time period, she was up and around, but wouldn't leave the yard, then the house, then the living room and bathroom, and finally retreated to just the bathroom... progressive agorophobia. He tried to get her help numerous times, but couldn't get any phsychiatric assistance on a housecall basis, then she finally tanked and couldn't leave the toilet even. (final retreat status) The next stage of this psychological catastrophe is usually where the patient refuses all sustenance because they can't tolerate any contact and they stop moving (total catatonia), followed by death. god I hate having a psychology background. this was a much more entertaining thread before I found out what really happened... sorry guys...

The lady definitely has some issues. Fear of leaving the home is not an uncommon problem...it is totally irrational, but very real to those suffering from the psychosis. This poor woman had taken it to an extreme level, and the boyfriend should have intervened sooner, but we don't know what his mental capacity is either at this point. That will soon be coming out since he is being formally charged.
