i'm also running the new American elites.  I don't really have enough mileage on them to compare them to the stock tires, but so far i'm very pleased with them.

I also got them from j&p.  I found them available at a few sources, but not in stock.  j&p had them for the same price, free shipping, and in stock.  had them in 3 days.   :2vrolijk_21:

I think you better blame that S&S 124" for the low mileage.

By the way Alan, my experience with Metzlers.....they're a softer compound so they stick better and you'll like that while twisting the wick.  But, because they're a softer compound, they  wear out much faster.  Let us know?
Will give them a shot and see. The stickier part sounds like fun..

I've been buying the stock tires. . I get really good wear and never had had any problems. . . I get about 15k on the rear and the can never wear out a front. . Tho I will change with every other rear. . . . Just my thoughts. .  Stuart.

Same here always buy Harley/Dunlop never a problem.

after a few sets of the hd branded dunlop i switched  to the dunlop american elite. All previous sets of the hd branded howled like crazy and cupped. no problem so far with the elites. jp cycle not a bad price
VANAMAL, what mileage are you at now with your AE's? Need new rubber and I'm trying to decide between AE's and Michelin Commander II's. I've experienced the same cupping issues with the HD Dunlops on my 2010 Limited, 2011 FLTRUSE and now my 2015 FLTRUSE. It would always occur on the rear tire beginning around 6k mileage. Most of my riding mileage has been 2 up touring with luggage and 38-40 psi.

I'm shopping around for AE's as well.

Just FYI, everyone seems to have the same discounted pricing on the AE front and rear, except Eastern Performance, which is an additional $10 cheaper on the rear I believe.

Until June 30th, Dunlop does have a $40 rebate though. Unfortunately for me, it is only for US residents, but since I have a US shipping address, I am going to try and see if I can use that address and get it as well. If I do, that plus my $20 Revzilla bucks means I can get a set for $300 shipped.

Here is a link for Canadian Rebate.  http://www.dunlopmotorcycletires.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Canadian-Rebate-1.jpg

Thanks, but I assumed that is only if I bought the tires here. Doubt it applies to US on line purchases, but maybe I should inquire about that.
